Barack Obama Watch: So Much for the “Post Racial” Candidate
Michael Ramirez on Barack Obama
Mark Steyn is spot on with this piece from the Orange County Register today.
Read it all…….

Day By Day by Chris Muir March 22, 2008
Obama is making race THE ISSUE in the Presidential campaign by playing racial constituency politics. Look at the Hispanic pandering yesterday with New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson’s endorsement.
Obama has received many of his his elected Democrats delegates by capturing 90 plus per cent of the African American vote in small red states.
This vote ALONE will be insufficient in a general election against John McCain. And, by clinging to Jeremiah Wright he certainly will not be broadening his post-racial appeal to other racial groups.

Now, Barack Obama says he had been in Jeremiah Wright’s church pews during Wright’s condemnations of U.S. foreign and domestic policies.
When and what was sermonized on these days?
And, why didn’t Obama object or walk out?

John McCain Watch: The Soren Dayton Twitter Flap – The Poll
There is a poll about the Soren Dayton Twitter Flap over at GretaWire.
Flap says get over there and vote for Soren NOT to have been suspended.
Looks like some of you already have…….
The McCain Campaign has OVERREACTED and Dayton should be reinstated immediately. Did he show some indiscretion and violate Team McCain policy?
Yes, he did. But, in a very minor way.
Team McCain needs to be “LESS SENSITIVE†to Barack Obama’s feelings and play HARDBALL – at least once in a while
Update:
Check out the vote now over at Greta’s. Looks like Flap is correct on this one.
At least Flap tells Team McCain to man-up and play some HARDBALL – unlike Ed Morrissey who wimps out over at Hot Air.

Well, Bill Clinton was the first “BLACK” President wasn’t he?
Team Obama throws the mud ball back to Hillary.
Anyone for “HOT POTATO?”

Geraldine Ferraro Watch: Jeremiah Wright is a “Racist Bigot”
Michael Ramirez on Geraldine Ferraro and her Barack Obama race comment
Geraldine Ferraro the first woman to be nominated as Vice President and former Congresswoman from New York is exacting some sweet revenge at the expense of Barack Obama.
You remember the FLAP, how Hillary Clinton was forced to disavow Ferraro’s comments regarding Barack Obama?:
“I think what America feels about a woman becoming president takes a very secondary place to Obama’s campaign – to a kind of campaign that it would be hard for anyone to run against,†she said. “For one thing, you have the press, which has been uniquely hard on her. It’s been a very sexist media. Some just don’t like her. The others have gotten caught up in the Obama campaign.
“If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position,†she continued. “And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept.†Ferraro does not buy the notion of Obama as the great reconciler.
And, remember how Ferraro was forced to resign from Hillary’s finance committee?
Now, Geraldine Ferraro STRIKES BACK in this interview in the California Daily Breeze.
Former vice presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro said today that she objected to the comparison Sen. Barack Obama drew between her and his former pastor in his speech on race relations Tuesday.
In the speech, Obama sought to place the inflammatory remarks of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright in a broader context, in part by placing them on a continuum with Ferraro’s recent remark to the Daily Breeze that Obama is “lucky” to be black.
“To equate what I said with what this racist bigot has said from the pulpit is unbelievable,” Ferraro said today. “He gave a very good speech on race relations, but he did not address the fact that this man is up there spewing hatred.”
Flap foresees a “woman scorned” mentality here and unless Obama apologizes to Ferraro this war of words may very well escalate.
- Ferraro said she had “no clue” why Obama would include her in his speech, and said Obama’s association with Wright raises serious questions about his judgment. “What this man is doing is he is spewing that stuff out to young people, and to younger people than Obama, and putting it in their heads that it’s OK to say `Goddamn America’ and it’s OK to beat up on white people,” she said. “You don’t preach that from the pulpit.”
- Ferraro also said she could not understand why Obama had called out his own white grandmother for using racial stereotypes that had made him cringe. “I could not believe that,” she said. “That’s my mother’s generation.”
- In sum, however, Ferraro said she thought the speech was “excellent,” and said she understood why Obama could not renounce his association with Wright. “I think they got as far as they could go politically,” she said. “They’re looking at their base. Their base is African-Americans. They’re looking at that and they’re trying to walk a very thin line. They don’t want to offend the African-Americans, and this is the way he did it.”
OUCH!
The Clinton Cabal KNOWS how to play HARDBALL.

Barack Obama Watch: Throwing Grandma Under the Bus AGAIN? A Typical White Person
Flap had most of this up earlier this morning and I asked for the video and here it is above courtesy of Power Line.
Has Barack Obama thrown his white grandmother under the bus again? Remember Obama’s A More Perfect Union speech day before yesterday.
Stanley Dunham, “Barry†Obama and grandmother Madelyn Dunham
Well, apparently trash talking his grandmother is becoming a daily happening (Via Michelle Malkin). This morning (Thursday 3/20/08) on WIP AM 610 Sports Radio in Philadelphia, host Angelo Cataldi interviewed Senator Obama. During the beginning of the segment (about 07:40 AM) Mr. Cataldi asked the Senator about his comments on Tuesday regarding his “white†grandmother. I am paraphrasing here, but his response was something like “She is a typical white person who fears people on the street.â€
Please try to obtain a tape of the segment and listen to it yourself, but if I heard this correctly, it was another look at who this guy really is.
So, has Obama done it again? Team Obama will need to clarify the candidate’s statement.
If someone obtains the exact quote or an audio clip from Obama, Flap will put it up. The radio website is here.
***********
Yes, Obama has done it again and now he can explain to me what he means his Grandmother is a “typical white person?”
Could he be specific in HIS racial stereotyping of whites in America? Are WE WHITES ALL afraid of passing black men on the street?
If Flap were to mention the stereotypes of “typical black persons” he would be criticized as a BIGOT. What about Jews or Mexicans, Senator?
Clearly, Barack Obama has some race issues.

Barack Obama Watch: Cratering in the Polls = The Jeremiah Wright Effect?

Senator Barack Obama and his pastor, the reverend Jeremiah Wright of the Trinity Unity Church of Christ in Chicago.
Tom Bevan over at Real Clear Politics has the news that Obama since the Jeremiah Wright flap has dropped precipitously in the polls against John McCain:
Ohio:
- McCain 50 – Obama 43 For Obama, it’s a 17-point swing against him since the last SurveyUSA poll taken just three weeks ago, going up from up ten on McCain to down seven.
Missouri:
- McCain 53 – Obama 39 Again, Obama’s support slipped three points in Missouri while McCain’s rose five, giving McCain a substantial 14-point lead.
Kentucky:
- McCain 64 – Obama 28 Not that Kentucky was in any danger of going blue, but McCain’s support jumped 10 points and Obama’s dropped five in three weeks.
Hillary in these state polls does much better:
- Ohio: McCain 44 – Clinton 50
- Missouri: McCain 48 – Clinton 46
- Kentucky: McCain 53 – Clinton 43
Now, over to the Democrat Super Delegates. Will they validate how the Democrat voters in small red states supported Obama? Or will they support a Hillary Clinton who is MORE electable?
A dilemma for the Democrats and certainly one that drives both Democrat candidates off message. But, what are the Democrats to do?
They can ignore their own voters and throw Barack Obama “under the bus,” nominate Hillary and alienate their left anti-Iraq War wing and key African-American constituency.
Or they can nominate Obama, alienate Reagan, moderate white voters and lose the Presidential election like George McGovern in 1972.
But, then again, according the the Rasmussen Presidential tracking poll they both lose to McCain.
Hummmmmmmmm has the Hillary carping on Obama and the Jeremiah Wright train wreck polluted the Democrats so neither of them can win in November?
Stay tuned……..

Obama Slip Sliding Away in the Polls
-
Day By Day by Chris Muir March 19, 2008
Hillary is already taking and talking up the Jeremiah Wright association to the Democrat Super Delegates who will decide who the Democrat nominee for President will be.
Fancy that……
Flap expects more Wright videos or other revelations about Barack Obama’s past to suddenly surface from the Clinton Cabal. And, why not?
The politics of personal destruction are Clinton trademarks.

Barack Obama Watch: Throwing Grandma Under the Bus

Barack Obama in yesterday’s speech: A More Perfect Union throws his grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, under the bus by discussing her racism
While Flap was twittering Barack Obama’s A More Perfect Union speech yesterday I made reference to this passage:
I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother – a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe.
These people are a part of me. And they are a part of America, this country that I love.
Flap remarked that Obama threw his grandmother “under the bus” in comparing her own racist views to those of Jeremiah Wright instead of throwing Jeremiah Wright “under the bus” for his anti-American and anti-white statements.
This was reprehensible and particularly so under further examination of Obama’s grandmother and her role in raising her grandson.
Stanley Dunham, “Barry” Obama and grandmother Madelyn Dunham
Flap wasn’t the ONLY blogger noting Obama’s objectionable family criticism in order to justify an association with Jeremiah Wright and the “BLACK” community.
Scott Johnson twice at Power Line:
Throw grandma under the bus, part 2
Yesterday I referred to the false equivalencies in Obama’s extenuation of, and attempt to change the subject from, the fulsome Jeremiah Wright. I focused on the false equivalence Obama drew between his grandmother and Wright. Mickey Kaus meticulously teases out a number of other false equivalencies in the speech. Steve Sailer contrasts Obama’s account of his grandmother in Dreams From My Father with the account in his speech. Sailer concludes that Obama threw his grandmother “under the wheels of the BS express.”
Gateway Pundit has a round up.
Don’t think that American voters noticed how far too easily Obama trashed his own family for political expediency. Will Hillary be able to make this case to the Democrat Super Delegates?
Or will the Democrat Party nominate an extremist who trash talks his own grandmother?
