fuxuiy32xk2by8r66arhuw Poll Watch: Obama Rated Same or Worse Than Bush Obama Much Worse Than Clinton

According to the latest Gallup Poll.
Asked to compare Barack Obama with George W. Bush, Americans are more inclined to say Obama has been a better (43%) rather than a worse (34%) president, with 22% seeing no difference between the two. Obama compares much less favorably to Bill Clinton, with half saying Obama has been worse than Clinton and 12% saying better.

These results are based on a Sept. 15-18 USA Today/Gallup poll. Obama succeeded Bush as president during a down economy that is still struggling to recover. Thus, a key comparison voters will make is whether Obama is doing better than his predecessor, which would enhance his chances of re-election, or worse than Bush, which makes it less likely Americans would reward him with a second term.

It could be argued that saying Obama has been about the same as Bush is also a negative evaluation, given that Bush left office with low approval ratings and Americans generally did not judge his presidency to be very successful.

Indeed, those who say Obama has been about the same as Bush generally view Obama negatively, with 27% approving and 62% disapproving of the way Obama is handling his job as president.

Thus, in order to win re-election, Obama likely needs to convince voters he is doing a better job than his predecessor did.

After the debate last night in Florida, unless another candidate enters the field, it looks like Mitt Romney will be the candidate that will limit President Obama to one term and one term only. With economic conditions the way they are nobody will buy the argument that Obama has been doing a better job than Bush.

Clinton and Janice Hahn CA 36: Worried Democrats Call Out The Big Dog for Janice Hahn

Former President Bill Clinton and Los Angeles City Councilwoman Janice Hahn

I guess the race for Jane Harman’s Congressional seat in the South Bay is closer than one would expect.

Now, the Democratic Party is bringing out the “Big Dog” himself, former President Bill Clinton, to help defeat Republican Craig Huey.

Bill Clinton endorsed Los Angeles City Councilwoman Janice Hahn on Monday, the latest big-name Democrat to formally support her House bid.

Hahn faces businessman Craig Huey (R) in the special-election runoff for former Rep. Jane Harman’s (D-Calif.) seat. Democrats have moved to circle the wagons around Hahn after Huey finished a surprise second in the May 17 jungle primary. In endorsing Hahn’s bid, Clinton joins a list that includes House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and former Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean, among others.

“America is at a crossroads, and we need to decide whether we are going to pursue a path of right-wing extremism or one of compromise and common-sense solutions,” the former president said in a statement. “Janice has proven herself to be a champion for creating jobs, cleaning our environment, protecting a woman’s right to choose, and expanding access to healthcare. We need people like Janice Hahn in Congress, and I’m proud to endorse her.”

Note that this endorsement is aimed at moderate Democrats who might not be too happy about the California economy and who may stay home on special election day, July 12th. Clinton will also be writing a fundraising letter for Hahn but will not travel to campaign in the district prior to the election.

If this election tightens, don’t be surprised to see Vice President Biden or Michelle Obama make a campaign appearance. The Democrats do not want to take this seat for granted, particularly since the district will change in 2012 due to redistricting.

San Francisco Mayor Gavin “Whether You Like it or Not” Newsom

Meg Whitman and Steve Poizner must be dancing this morning.
Former President Bill Clinton is backing San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom for California governor over state Attorney Gen. Jerry Brown, potentially upending next year’s Democratic race to succeed Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Clinton’s decision to appear on Oct. 5 alongside one of his wife’s top backers in her campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination comes at a critical time for the San Franciso mayor: Although Newsom has built a substantial Facebook and Twitter following among younger voters, Brown, a former two-term governor, has raised more than twice as much money as he has.

Clinton’s trip to California next month is expected to include an event in predominantly Latino East Los Angeles as well as a high-dollar fundraiser.

While the endorsement of a former president is big news in any state, the former chairman of the California Democratic Party thinks it could be especially significant in California, a state where Clinton has had a strong following ever since he beat Brown in the state’s 1992 presidential primary.

These are delusions of grandeur on the part of Newsom and the California Far Left. Jerry Brown has the support of mainstream labor and will pillage Newsom with television ads next Spring before the June 2010 Democrat Primary election.

California voters are disgruntled in any event(tired of decades of Democrat control of the Legislature) and the REAL race for California Governor is between the two Republicans, Meg Whitman and Steve Poizner. Californians will not vote for an old man retread pol or a young morally challenged San Francisco Mayor.

Flap looks forward to the divisive Democrat primary though.

hillaryclintonissecofs Hillary Clinton: I Am the Secretary of State

Yeah, we know, Hillary that YOU are the Secretary of State. A little touchy aren’t you?
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lost her cool Monday after a Congolese student, speaking through a translator, asked her what “Mr. Clinton” thought about a Chinese trade deal with the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

“You want me to tell you what my husband thinks?” Clinton replied, clearly irked by the thought of being her husband Bill’s spokeswoman.

“My husband is not secretary of state, I am,” she replied. “If you want my opinion I will tell you my opinion. I am not going to be channeling my husband.”

But, OOPS……

There was a translation error.

But, watch the video and think what a BITCH Paunchy Hillary would be if she was elected President.

This frame grab from South Korean television taken in Seoul shows former US President Bill Clinton(R) and North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-Il posing for a picture in Pyongyang.Clinton arrived in North Korea on a surprise mission to free two jailed American journalists, the highest-profile visit by an American to Pyongyang for nearly a decade

Well,Bill Clinton got the journalists released.
North Korean President Kim Jong Il has pardoned and released two U.S. journalists, state-run news agency KCNA said Wednesday.

The announcement came after former U.S. President Clinton met with top North Korean officials in Pyongyang to appeal for their release.

“Clinton expressed words of sincere apology to Kim Jong Il for the hostile acts committed by the two American journalists against the DPRK after illegally intruding into it,” the news agency reported. “Clinton courteously conveyed to Kim Jong Il an earnest request of the U.S. government to leniently pardon them and send them back home from a humanitarian point of view.

“The meetings had candid and in-depth discussions on the pending issues between the DPRK and the U.S. in a sincere atmosphere and reached a consensus of views on seeking a negotiated settlement of them.”

But, what did it really cost the United States? And, what did Clinton really negotiate?

We will see in time.

Former United Nations Ambassador John Bolton is NOT impressed with former President Bill Clinton meeting with North Korea’s Kim Jong-Il.
The Obama administration is rewarding North Korea for its bad behavior by sending ex-president Bill Clinton to Pyongyang to win the release of two US journalists, the former US ambassador to the UN said Tuesday.

John Bolton, an outspoken hardliner in the previous administration of George W. Bush, told AFP that Clinton’s mission to Pyongyang undermines a number of public stands held by his own wife, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

“It comes perilously close to negotiating with terrorists,” Bolton told AFP when asked about Bill Clinton’s trip to secure the release of journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee.

The pair were sentenced in June to 12 years in a labor camp for an illegal border crossing and an unspecified “grave crime,” after they were detained by North Korean border guards on March 17 while working on a story.

“I think this is a very bad signal because it does exactly what we always try and avoid doing with terrorists, or with rogue states in general, and that’s encouraging their bad behavior,” Bolton said.

In a US television interview here on July 26, Secretary Clinton warned North Korea that even its traditional allies had turned against it and that the communist state’s rogue behavior will no longer “be rewarded.”

Bolton also scoffed the White House’s contention that Bill Clinton’s visit is “solely a private mission” when he said “this is a former president who is married to the secretary of state. There’s nothing private about this.”

Remember this was the same President who sent his Secretary of State Madeleine Albright to visit Kim Jong-Il with a Michael Jordan autographed basketball.

Exit question: What is this diplomatic gesture by Bill Clinton going to cost the United States?

Day By Day by Chris Muir

Haha, Chris.

We all know the LEFT is first on the scene with the politics of personal destruction. I mean it is from the Saul Alinksy playbook.

Remember Hillary Clinton did her senior thesis on Alinksy and she and Bill practiced the personal destruction attacks daily, hence the name Clinton Cabal, for those who joined with them.

Also, remember when the photo of Obama with him wearing the Muslim garb emerged during the Democrat primary campaign. This would have worked but the Clinton Cabal leaked it too early in the primary season.

Funny, but as Obama travels to Africa in the next week as President, I wonder if he will don the native costumes again?

Somehow, I doubt it.
