Barack Obama Watch: Playing Politics With Iraq

Is Barack Obama playing politics with the Iraq War?

    Isn’t it obvious?

But, John McCain does NOT have to paint Obama as a typical, duplicitous, lying politician on the Iraq War issue. As El Rushbo said today on his radio show the American public almost expects that from their pols. Rush suggests instead of emphasizing that Obama is a “ROOKIE” and inexperienced – one prone and destined to make poor decisions.

In other words, a politician who cannot be trusted with the Presidency. Like somebody who would rather go to the gym rather than see wounded troops. Somebody who is ALL ABOUT HIMSELF – even for a politician.

The script of Troops says it all:

Anncr: Barack Obama never held a single Senate hearing on Afghanistan.

He hadn’t been to Iraq in years.

He voted against funding our troops.

And now, he made time to go to the gym, but cancelled a visit with wounded troops.

Seems the Pentagon wouldn’t allow him to bring cameras.

John McCain is always there for our troops.

    McCain. Country first.

John McCain: I’m John McCain and I approve this message.

Notice today how Barack Obama is moving away from foreign policy issues.

Mitt Romney As Vice President – The Effect on the Electoral College Map

    Mitt Romney endorses John McCain

Mitt Romney endorsed John McCain for President in February 2008

In the continuing discussion of John McCain’s possible choice of Mitt Romney as his Vice President running mate comes this piece evaluating Romney’s effect on the Electoral College map.

As for the McCain team, they have ample reason to select Romney, but they need to understand that his strengths don’t necessarily match the conventional wisdom. Romney’s base tends neither to be evangelicals nor Reagan Democrats, but instead, middle- and upper-class fiscal conservatives who value lower taxes and stricter immigration policies and who are probably relatively satisfied with the status quo. This describes a significant number of independent voters in states like Colorado. However, if the Republicans throw Romney out there and try to turn him into a populist, they’ll be in for a long campaign.

Nate’s analysis is essentially the same as Flap’s here.

Mitt Romney has his strengths and weaknesses. What it will come down to is the polling in Michigan, New Hampshire, Nevada, Colorado and New Mexico – all toss-up states.

Will John McCain play it safe with Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty as is the conventional wisdom or roll the dice with Mitt Romney?

Gummy Bears Posed to Fight Tooth Decay

    Gummybears

    Gummy Bears

Now, there are Gummy Bears that are fighting tooth decay. The sticky, bear shaped candy is made with the sugar substitute Xylitol and distributed to children to actually prevent dental disease.

    Go figure.

The children in the study were given four bears three times a day, containing different concentrations of xylitol. The results show that after six weeks of gummy bear snacking, the levels of harmful MS bacteria in the children’s plaque was significantly reduced. According to Ly “Based on our findings, it is feasible to develop a clinical trial of a gummy-based caries prevention programme. Such a study is now being carried out in the East Cleveland primary school district (Ohio, USA).”

Tooth decay is one of the most common diseases in the world. The distribution of Xylitol gummy bears in the school setting may help to reduce the burden of this foremost chronic childhood disease in Europe and the US.

A “MAGIC MOUTHWASH” in Gummy Bear form. Sure beats drilling and filling.

    avril-avigne

    Avril Lavigne – Girlfriend

There is a report out that singer Avril Lavigne is unhappy with her “Vampire Teeth.”

Avril Lavigne is set to have significant dental work because she is so self-conscious about her “fangs”.

The ‘Girlfriend’ singer – who is married to Sum 41 guitarist Deryck Whibley – is so worried about her pointy molars she is determined to have them corrected.

A source close to the singer told America’s Star magazine: “Avril hates her fangs. She is planning on having them filed down by a cosmetic dentist. It’s just something she has always been insecure about, especially since everyone is staring at her mouth when she sings.

Check out the photo above and her music video linked above (no, it is not a Rick Roll) and answer Flap truthfully.

    Are Avril’s teeth that bad?

    The answer is NO.

Please Avril don’t do what Hillary Duff did.
