President Obama to Paralyze Los Angeles Freeways for Campaign Cash – The Obamajam
President Barack Obama is hugged by a supporter after speaking at a DNC fundraiser at Nob Hill Masonic Center in San Francisco, Calif., Thursday, April 21, 2011. President Obama is making a West Coast trip aimed at building support for his deficit-reduction plans and raising money for his re-election campaign
Good luck West Los Angeles – you will need it.I suppose there is no way President Obama can lose California in 2012. But he’s giving it a shot tomorrow–attending two fundraisers that, with the usual level of presidential security, promise to immobilize the West Side of Los Angeles during evening rush hour. … P.S.: Some enterprising journalist should tote up the cost of the visit, in terms of lost work hours and productivity, and greenhouse gases emitted by motorists stuck in traffic, and compare it with the amount of money Obama raised. I bet the ratio is more than 100 to 1.
Somehow I think KFI’s John and Ken will be all over Obama this afternoon.
Head on a stick?

These are my links for April 21st from 06:09 to 06:11:
- Under Protest – Megan McArdle – Have you noticed all the huge antiwar demonstrations in the last twelve months? Yeah, me neither. It turns out that a lot of the energy for the movement seems to have been provided by Democrats who are a lot less worried about wars conducted by Democratic presidents. Or at least who believe that advancing the Democratic agenda is much more important than trying to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. This is by no means the whole movement–but it was enough that once a Democrat took office, both the numbers at the demonstrations, and the organizational capacity of the movement as a whole, dwindled away to near-nothingness.
Scott McLemee meditates on what this means:
At this point it seems worth mentioning an insight by another friend whose education in such matters took place in the laboratory of the 1960s. For many years, he said, being engaged in antiwar activism or civil rights work meant going to events where, after a while, you were able to recognize almost everybody. Then one day he attended a demonstration and saw that something had changed. There were some familiar faces, but he had no idea who most of the people were.
"That's how you know that the cause has actually become a movement," he said. "You look around and see a lot of new faces. It's no longer just the usual suspects."=====
Read it all

Yeah, it’s as if all that self-righteous moralism, and cries or war criminal and illegal wars and concentration camps at Gitmo was just a lot of lying, self-serving twaddle by people who really just wanted power for their team. Who knew?
Well, some of us did. And pointed it out at the time. And, well, we’re going to keep rubbing it in now.

You think?

Charles Manson: Obama is a “SLAVE of Wall Street”
The convicted murderer Charles Manson who has plenty of time on his hands has become a political pundit and weighs in on President Obama.Billionaire Donald Trump recently proclaimed he is the Democrats’ worst nightmare, but it’s hard to imagining someone more frightening than Charles Manson ending a 20-year silence to call you out.
The 76-year-old spoke recently to Spain’s Vanity Fair magazine on the 40th anniversary of his conviction in the Sharon Tate and LaBianca murders.
President Barack Obama is “a slave of Wall Street,” the diminutive cult leader said by telephone from Corcoran State Prison to journalist David Lopez.
“He doesn’t realize what they are doing. They are playing with him,” Manson said of Obama. The president recently was being petitioned by Manson’s lawyer, Giovanni Di Stefano, to free the iconic killer, who has been incarcerated since 1969. That request was refused.
Manson has always been the one for gaining attention.
Now, he is playing the “crazy” card. But, Charley, you ain’t getting out of prison.

President 2012 GOP Poll Watch: Sarah Palin Sinking Like a Stone in Alaska?
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin waves to supporters after speaking at a tax day tea party rally Saturday, April 16, 2011, in Madison, Wisconsin
According to the latest Dittman Research Poll.
Favorable Vs. Unfavorable:- Sarah Palin – 36% Vs. 61%
This is nothing new, if the reader has been watching the polls throughout the many states. Sarah Palin has been finishing fourth or in fifth place in match-ups against Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich and Donald Trump.
And, this is the reason why she will NOT be a candidate for President.

Day By Day April 21, 2011 – Color Guard
Day By Day by Chris MuirDamon with an interview of Obama Attorney General Eric Holder should be an exercise in obfuscation. But, good luck.Holder has to be one of the dumbest rocks on the planet or the most incompetent one. Let’s see topics for discussion include, Gitmo trials, Gitmo closing and transfer of prisoners, Defense of Marriage Act, The Black Panther Philadelphia Case -just to name a few.
Anyone want to bet that he is OUT before Obama’s re-election campaign starts in earnest?
