President 2012: Sarah Palin to Begin “Exploratory” Campaign With a Nationwide Bus Tour
In a move designed to propel her closer to a presidential run, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will set out on a bus tour of the country on Sunday, making stops at symbolically significant venues along the way.
“Starting this weekend, Sarah Palin will embark on a ‘One Nation’ tour of historical sites that were key to the formation, survival, and growth of the United States of America,” SarahPAC treasurer Tim Crawford said in a statement to RealClearPolitics. “The tour will originate in Washington, D.C. It will proceed north up the east coast.”
Details were still being hammered out on Thursday, but sources indicated to RCP that the bus tour is expected to last several weeks and will be divided up into separate geographical stretches for logistical reasons.
The details will be on the SarahPAC website.
Anyone monitoring the number of phone calls, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is receiving today from worried GOP donors?

U.S. Supreme Court Upholds Arizona Illegal Immigrant Hiring Law
The ruling came down from SCOTUS this morning. The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld an Arizona law that harshly penalizes businesses for knowingly hiring illegal immigrants.
In a ruling that could exert pressure on Congress and other states, the court in what amounts to a 5-3 decision declared that Arizona’s law fits within the state’s powers and does not infringe on federal turf. .
“Arizona hopes that its law will result in more effective enforcement of the prohibition on employing unauthorized aliens,” Chief Justice John Roberts, Jr. wrote, adding that “the Arizona regulation does not otherwise conflict with federal law.”
The highly anticipated decision keeps intact the 2007 Legal Arizona Workers Act. Employers could have their business licenses suspended or revoked for hiring illegal immigrants, under the law.
The law also requires Arizona employers to use a federal program called E-Verify to check the immigration status of potential workers. Justices likewise upheld this provision, with Robert calling it “entirely consistent” with federal law.
The decision affirms the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which had likewise upheld the state law. It is a defeat for the politically powerful U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Obama administration, both of which had opposed the Arizona law.
Now, the House needs to get busy in mandating E-Verify for all employment in the United States. Big corporate business have been dumping their employment problems on American taxpayers for decades and it is time to stop.
Want to bet that with E-Verify, there will be more jobs available for legal resident Americans?
And, if the Congress, does not act or President Obama vetoes the legislation, then the states should take up the issue and pass their own laws.

President 2012 GOP Poll Watch: Romney 17% Vs. Palin 15%
According to the latest Gallup Poll.Mitt Romney (17%) and Sarah Palin (15%) now lead a smaller field of potential Republican presidential candidates in rank-and-file Republicans’ preferences for the party’s 2012 nominee. Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich, and Herman Cain essentially tie for third, with Cain registering 8% support in his initial inclusion in Gallup “trial heat” polling. Notably, 22% of Republicans do not have a preference at this point.
Poll such as this must be scaring the GOP Establishment. Polling results with this field show a “weak” Mitt Romney who is the “Establishment” candidate, now that Huckabee and Daniels have decided not to run.
It is Interesting that Michele Bachmann who has given every indication that she WILL run is not polling better, especially since she is easily identified as a Tea Party candidate.
Again, this is a national poll, with the race starting in Iowa (where Michele Bachmann will run strong and Mitt Romney won’t) and with the uncertainty as to whether Sarah Palin will run, take the poll for what it is worth.
In the short term, Romney and Palin seem to have benefited most from several prominent potential Republican candidates’ decisions not to run for president. Should Palin follow suit and not enter the race, Romney would be the clear front-runner, but arguably the weakest front-runner in any recent Republican nomination campaign.
As such, the race remains wide open, which is underscored by the fact that one in five Republicans currently have no preference. -
Day By Day May 23, 2011 – Personal Political
Chris, there are numerous signs that Sarah Palin will jump into the 2102 Presidential race. And, the LEFT will be stepping up their attacks, but has Sarah immunized her and her family against more personal trashing?
Is it choosing time?
You betcha….
