Iran Nuclear Watch: COUNTDOWN to Israel’s End

    irannukejune32007aweb

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (R) waits during meeting with the Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Abdul Aziz Bin Osman Al-Tajviri in Tehran May 20, 2007. Iran is close to achieving its “ultimate goals”, Ahmadinejad said on Thursday, accusing the West of trying to stop Tehran’s nuclear programme in order to reduce its influence in the world.

Iran president sees “countdown” to Israel’s end

Iran’s president said on Sunday the Lebanese and the Palestinians had pressed a “countdown button” to bring an end to Israel.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who triggered outrage in the West two years ago when he said Israel should be “wiped off the map”, has often referred to the destruction of the Jewish state but says Iran is not a threat.

“With God’s help, the countdown button for the destruction of the Zionist regime has been pushed by the hands of the children of Lebanon and Palestine,” Ahmadinejad said in a speech.
“By God’s will, we will witness the destruction of this regime in the near future,” he said. He did not elaborate.

Yet, President Bush wishes to continue a “diplomatic approach” to Iran’s nuclear weapons program.

Is Ahamdinejad trying to push Israel PM Olmert’s or Bush’s button prior to the G-8 meeting that starts Wednesday? Or is he just stating the inevitable.

The “NUCLEAR POINT OF NO RETURN” is at hand.

If the United States and Israel wait much longer, the “nuclear blackmail” will begin.

    Or has it already started?

Iran Nuclear Watch: Olmert – 10 Day Attack Will Set Iran’s Nuclear Program Back Years

    irannukeapril282007cweb

An Iranian technician works at the control room of the Isfahan Uranium Conversion Facility, February 2007. A rain of missiles could degrade Iran’s nuclear programme and set it back years, a German weekly quoted Israel’s prime minister as saying, sparking a warning from Tehran that such a strike would be a dangerous.

‘A 10-day attack could delay Iran’s nuclear race by years’

“Iran’s nuclear program can be thrown back by years in a ten day attack using thousands of Tomahawk cruise missiles,” Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was quoted as saying in an interview published online by the German magazine Focus on Saturday.

Olmert had reportedly said that it would not be possible to completely halt Iran’s race to attain nuclear capability, but that a brisk attack that would delay it significantly was “technically feasible.” While saying that Israel does not seek military confrontation, Olmert added that “nobody excludes it.”

Only a few hours after the publication of the Focus article in Israeli media outlets, the Prime Minister’s Office issued a statement denying the report.

This statement, although quickly denied, is another shot across Iran’s bow. A quick surgical strike or a more bold takeover of Iran’s oil exporting facilities would cripple Iran’s nuclear program and its economy.

But, will Israel and the United States have the will. Certainly Iran will respond by launching missiles against Israel and United States ships. This is in turn could result in an all out war against Iran – which is coming anyway.

    irannukeapril282007aweb

Israel Prime Minister Ehud Olmert delivers a speech during an event marking the 90th anniversary of the New York Jewish Federation in parliament in Jerusalem April 25, 2007. Iran’s disputed nuclear programme could be severely hit by firing 1,000 cruise missiles in a 10-day attack, Olmert was quoted as saying on Saturday.

According to Focus, Olmert said military measures would be considered only if existing UN sanctions, and “other sanctions” would fail to bring success.

Weighing the consequences of such a scenario, Olmert said that “we must also ask ourselves whether after a military procedure, the Iranian people as a whole would not become our enemy. And would not such an action pit other Muslim nations against us, thus creating even more problems?”

The Arab World is united against Israel. So, what is the Prime Minister talking about?

The main question is: Will Israel and the United States allow Iran to have a nuclear weapons program and a nuclear bomb?

The “NUCLEAR POINT OF NO RETURN” is at hand.

    It is time to act.

Iran Nuclear Watch: Ahmadinejad – “Britain, Israel and United States Will Vanish Like the Pharaohs”

    irannukeaugust31aweb

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has predicted that Britian, Israel and the United States would eventually disappear from the world like the Egyptian pharaonic kings.

AFP: Ahmadinejad: Britain, Israel, US to ‘vanish like the pharaohs’

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has predicted that Britian, Israel and the United States would eventually disappear from the world like the Egyptian pharaonic kings.

“The oppressive powers will disappear while the Iranian people will stay. Any power that is close to God will survive while the powers who are far from God will disappear like the pharaohs,” he said Wednesday, according to Iranian news agencies.

“Today, it is the United States, Britain and the Zionist regime which are doomed to disappear as they have moved far away from the teachings of God,” he said in a speech in the western town of Javanroud.

    “It is a divine promise.”

Ahmadinejad’s comments were the latest salvo by the deeply religious president against the West and Israel. He has repeatedly predicted that Israel is doomed to disappear.

And Ahmadinejad is boasting that Iran has become a nuclear power:

Ynet: Ahmadineajd: Iran now nuclear power

Iranian president: Our scienists have reached zenith, accessed nuclear fuel cycle

Iran is now a “nuclear power,” its President, Mahmoud Ahamdinejad, delcared Wednesday, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency.

During a speech delivered in the Western Iranian province of Javanroud, Ahmadinejad said: ” The Islamic Republic of Iran is now a nuclear power, thanks to the hard work of the Iranian people and authorities.”

The announcement of Iran as a “nuclear power” is bound to significantly escalate tensions between the West and Iran, and marks a dramatic stage in the Islamic Republic’s nuclear campaign.

In a clear rejection of all diplomatic attempts to prevent Iran from going nuclear, Ahmadinejad added in his speech that “the Iranian nation will continue in its nuclear path powerfully and will celebrate a nuclear victory soon.”

    Cox & Forkum: Genocidal Logic

    Iran’s Holocaust-denial conference is over.

MEMRI President and Founder Yigal Carmon explained the real purpose of the conference: The Role of Holocaust Denial in the Ideology and Strategy of The Iranian Regime:

In order for Ahmadinejad to bring his plans [of eliminating Israel] to fruition, however, he has to demonize the Jews and the State of Israel. Demonization is a necessary precondition for genocide. As we well know, Hitler first engaged in a major campaign of demonization of the Jews before actually murdering them en masse. Ahmadinejad and the Iranian regime are taking the same path, and are conducting a similar virulent, antisemitic campaign of demonization.

To this end, Iranian state-controlled television produces various TV series dedicated to the demonization of Jews. These include classic blood libels, depicting Jews as using the blood of non-Jewish children to bake their Passover matzos, and as kidnapping non-Jewish children to steal their body parts. Jews are reduced to sub-human levels, depicted as pigs and apes. They are accused of persecuting the Prophet Muhammad in voodoo ritualistic scenes, and as tormenting a historic figure reminiscent of Jesus on the Cross. All these TV series exist alongside others that deny the Holocaust.

Again, it should be stressed that all these phenomena are interrelated, and are state-directed at the highest level. It is most indicative that Ahmadinejad’s first public appearance after coming to power was made before television producers.

All this is done in order to achieve the goal of demonization of Jews and Israel, which, as I mentioned earlier, is vital for their elimination. However, it is not possible to demonize a people as long as it is viewed as a victim of the Holocaust. Therefore, as long as the Jews are perceived as victims of the Holocaust, this demonization cannot take root. Holocaust denial is thus vital, in order to wipe out the image of the Jews as victims.

This is the reason why these three elements – Holocaust denial, the elimination of the State of Israel, and demonization of the Jews – are constantly present in statements by Ahmadinejad and other senior Iranian officials.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali writes: Why they deny the Holocaust: On top of nearly constant anti-Semitic propaganda, much of the Muslim world hasn’t even heard of it. (via Little Green Footballs)

Western leaders today who say they are shocked by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s conference this week denying the Holocaust need to wake up to that reality. For the majority of Muslims in the world, the Holocaust is not a major historical event that they deny. We simply do not know it ever happened because we were never informed of it. …

What’s striking about Ahmadinejad’s conference is the (silent) acquiescence of mainstream Muslims. I cannot help but wonder: Why is there no counter-conference in Riyadh, Cairo, Lahore, Khartoum or Jakarta condemning Ahmadinejad? Why are the 57 members of the Organization of the Islamic Conference silent on this?

Could the answer be as simple as it is horrifying: For generations, the leaders of these so-called Muslim countries have been spoon-feeding their populations a constant diet of propaganda similar to the one that generations of Germans (and other Europeans) were fed — that Jews are vermin and should be dealt with as such? In Europe, the logical conclusion was the Holocaust. If Ahmadinejad has his way, he shall not want for compliant Muslims ready to act on his wish.

Yet, Ahmadinejad may have LOST political ground in this week’s Iranian elections to REFORMISTS.

AFP: Ahmadinejad allies fail to sweep Iran vote

Ultra-conservatives close to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad have failed to sweep twin Iranian elections with embattled moderate forces recording a respectable performance, initial results have showed.

Centrist cleric Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani appeared to have sprung a surprise by reaping by far the most votes and beating a hardline rival in the election for the Assembly of Experts, the body that chooses the supreme leader.

In the keenly-watched race for Tehran city council, reformists were on course to take a handful of seats and end total conservative domination of the body which has prevailed since the last local vote in February 2003.

However the authorities were most keen to emphasise an unexpectedly high turnout, which appeared to have topped 60 percent for both votes, far higher than in similar elections in the past.

“The Iranian people have taken a decision to reach the summit of progress. As soon as they see that the enemy wants to stop them doing something, they carried it out,” Ahmadinejad said, hailing the turnout.

However the news for Ahmadinejad’s political allies was less positive, with the man seen as his spiritual mentor, Ayatollah Mohammad Taghi Mesbah Yazdi, trailing behind Rafsanjani in the Assembly of Experts vote.

Was there a method to the madness of President Bush and the Rice State Department allowing former and liberal ex-president Mohammad Khatami visit the United States?

    Possible

Is a reform of the ultra-conservative governance of Ahmadinejad and his cronies underway?

Perhaps the Iranian people are obtaining a glimpse of genocide and Armageddon and are not approving of the view.
    Stay tuned…..

Michael Ramirez on David Duke and the Iran Holocaust Conference

    ramireztoon121406web

Philadelphia Inquirer: Among those at Iran’s Holocaust conference: David Duke

Iran yesterday hosted a conference gathering prominent Holocaust deniers that it said would examine whether the World War II genocide of Jews took place, drawing condemnation from Israel and Germany.

The conference was initiated by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in an apparent attempt to burnish his status at home and abroad as a tough opponent of Israel. The hard-line president has described the Holocaust as a myth and called for Israel to be wiped off the map.

Organizers touted the conference as a scholarly gathering aimed at discussing the Holocaust away from Western taboos, but the 67 participants from 30 countries were predominantly Holocaust deniers. They included David Duke – the former Louisiana state representative and Ku Klux Klan leader.

Also at the conference were two rabbis and four other members of the group Jews United Against Zionism, dressed in the traditional long black coats and black hats of ultra-Orthodox Jews. The group, which says the creation of the state of Israel violated Jewish law, does not deny the Holocaust occurred but argues that it should not have been a reason for Israel’s founding.

German Parliament President Norbert Lammert protested the conference in a letter to Ahmadinejad.

“I condemn any attempt to offer anti-Semitic propaganda a public forum,” Lammert wrote.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, left, shakes hands with anti-Zionism Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss, of Monsey, N.Y., at the start of his meeting with participants of a conference on the Holocaust, in Tehran, Iran , Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006. Participants at a conference questioning whether the Holocaust took place praised Iran’s hard-line president on Tuesday, saying the gathering gives them the chance to air theories casting doubt on the Nazi genocide that are banned in parts of Europe. Ahmadinejad initiated the two-day gathering, which began on Monday, in an attempt to bolster his image as a leader standing up to Israel , Europe and the United States _ an image he has used to whip up support at home and abroad.

Reuters: Iran president says Israel’s days are numbered

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Tuesday told delegates at an international conference questioning the Holocaust that Israel’s days were numbered.

Ahmadinejad, who has sparked international outcry by referring to the killing of six million Jews in World War Two as a “myth” and calling for Israel to be “wiped off the map”, launched another verbal attack on the Jewish state.

“Thanks to people’s wishes and God’s will the trend for the existence of the Zionist regime is downwards and this is what God has promised and what all nations want,” he said.

“Just as the Soviet Union was wiped out and today does not exist, so will the Zionist regime soon be wiped out,” he added.

His words received warm applause from delegates at the Holocaust conference, who included ultra-Orthodox anti-Israel Jews and European and American writers who argue the Holocaust was either fabricated or exaggerated.

President Ahmadinejad is pushing the nuclear clock a minute closer to Armageddon with this reiteration of previous statements about wiping out Israel.

Why do you think Israeli Prime Minister Olmert sabre rattled with his statement that Israel possesses nuclear weapons?

    irannukedecember12bweb

Iranian men look at pictures at a sideline exhibition at the conference aimed at breaking taboos on the Holocaust in Tehran, 11 December 2006. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad predicted Israel would suffer the same fate as the USSR, as Iran faced a barrage of condemnation for hosting a conference casting doubt on the Holocaust.

The Vatican called the Holocaust an “immense tragedy” which had to remain forever a warning for all people to respect the rights of others.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the Tehran meeting “shows the danger of the situation Israel is in and in particular the threat that Israel lives under.”

She was speaking after meeting Ehud Olmert, who was on his first visit to Germany as Israeli Prime Minister.

Germany has made it a priority to support Israel since the Holocaust under the Nazis and the end of World War Two in 1945.

EU Commissioner Franco Frattini expressed “shock and indignation”, adding: “Anti-Semitism has no place in Europe; nor should it in any other part of the world.”

Will this Holocaust Conference FLAP help the United Nations Security Council vote sanctions against Iran because of their uranium enrichment program?

No, Russia and China will NEVER vote for meaningful sanctions against Iran……

And in the meantime, Russia will be shipping nuclear fuel to Iran in March 2007.

Russia in March will start delivering nuclear fuel for the plant it is building in Iran, the head of a state company in charge of the project said Monday, according to Russian news reports.

Atomstroexport’s head Sergei Shmatko said during a trip to Tehran that he and Iranian officials had discussed financial problems related to the completion of the nuclear plant in Iran’s southern port of Bushehr, the ITAR-Tass, Interfax and RIA Novosti news agencies reported.

Shmatko said his company would start preparations in January for nuclear fuel deliveries to Bushehr, and begin actual shipments in March, six months ahead of the physical launch of the Bushehr nuclear reactor.

Bushehr will make a FINE bombing target for the IDF Air force.

The clock is ticking for the nuclear “POINT OF NO RETURN.”

Israel Watch: Israeli Prime Minister Olmert Acknowledges Israel Has Nuclear Weapons

    israeldecember12aweb

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert (L) is welcomed by German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin. Olmert was holding talks with Merkel after he sparked an uproar by appearing to admit that Israel has nuclear weapons.

AP: Israel Nuke Comment Sparks Controversy

A slip of the tongue by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert about Israel’s nuclear policy ballooned into a domestic crisis Tuesday for the Israeli leader, who came under criticism from across the political spectrum.

In an interview with a German television station broadcast Monday, Olmert appeared to list Israel among the world’s nuclear powers, violating the country’s long-standing policy of not officially acknowledging that it has atomic weapons.

Asked by the interviewer about Iran’s calls for the destruction of Israel, Olmert replied that Israel has never threatened to annihilate anyone.

“Iran openly, explicitly and publicly threatens to wipe Israel off the map,” Olmert said. “Can you say that this is the same level, when you are aspiring to have nuclear weapons, as America, France, Israel, Russia?”

Is this a WARNING SHOT across Iran’s bow?

    You betcha.

Israel and the United States will NOT tolerate nor acquiesce into allowing Iran to possess a nuclear weapon. If this means using Israeli nukes, then so be it.

Israel, which foreign experts say has the sixth-largest nuclear arsenal in the world, has stuck to a policy of ambiguity on nuclear weapons for decades, refusing to confirm or deny whether it has them.

The comments came days after incoming Defense Secretary Robert Gates, in testimony to a Senate committee, identified Israel as a nuclear power.

With Olmert’s quote featured on the front pages of all of Israel’s major papers Tuesday and with political rivals calling for his resignation, aides to Olmert – who was in Berlin Tuesday on a state visit – hurriedly said the remark had been misinterpreted.

Olmert has been under pressure in Israel because of the perceived Israeli loss to Hezbollah in this summer’s 33-day Lebanon war. Is he trying to save his political skin?

    Probably

This complicates American aid to Israel but this obfuscation has been continuing for decades.
Should Olmert resign because of this remark?

No, but stay tuned sparks will fly……

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (C) addresses members of the Islamic volunteer Basij militia just outside Tehran in November 2006. Ahmadinejad has told Palestinian prime minister Ismail Haniya that Israel is sliding toward disappearance.
