Barack Obama Watch: Protest Too Much Part Two
Michael Ramirez on Barack Obama and the Appeasement Flap
Mark Steyn dissects Barack Obama’s outrage over his appeasement foreign policy and Democrat minion protests that he means NO such nonsense.
It says something for Democrat touchiness that the minute a guy makes a generalized observation about folks who appease terrorists and dictators the Dems assume: Hey, they’re talking about me. Actually, he wasn’t – or, to be more precise, he wasn’t talking only about you.
Should Obama be elected President, America will revert to a pre-Reagan world.
President Reagan talked with the Soviets while pushing ahead with the deployment of Cruise and Pershing missiles in Europe. He spoke softly – after getting himself a bigger stick. Sen. Obama is proposing to reward a man who pledges to wipe Israel off the map with a presidential photo-op to which he will bring not even a twig. No wonder he’s so twitchy about it.
Twitchy indeed. Can America in this dangerous world trust the Presidency and the mantle of the free world to an inexperienced Carterish figure who expresses outrage over criticism and calls it disrespect.
Obama thinks America just doesn’t understand.

American Al Qaeda’s Adam Gadahn Death Rumors Continue
Adam Gadahn as featured on the FBI’s Most Wanted List
The rumors continue that California Jihadist, late of Al Qaeda was killed in Pakistan some weeks ago.As US and Pakistani intelligence attempted to determine who else might have been killed in the Jan. 29 US airstrike in North Waziristan that took the life of al Qaeda commander Abu Laith al Libi, a new, unconfirmed report claimed Adam Gadahn, Laith’s American deputy, died in the strike, as did two Kuwaitis and four other terrorists.
Sources inside Pakistan told the Nine/Eleven Finding Answers Foundation that US traitor Adam Gadahn was killed, along with Abu Suhail, Laith’s former deputy; Hamza al Somali, who is presumably of Australian or US nationality; Abu Ubayda Tawari Rakhis al Mutairi, a Kuwaiti national; Abu Adil al Kuwaiti, another Kuwaiti; and at least three Uzbek nationals. “It should be noted that the death of the American Gadahn has not yet been officially confirmed,” the Nine/Eleven Finding Answers Foundation reported.
It is surprising that Al Qaeda has neither produced Gadahn nor martyred him. Perhaps he was severely injured in the January 29th attack and is recovering.
Let’s hope we got the traitor.

John McCain Watch: The New York Times Debacle Part Two
The Gray Lady by Michael Ramirez
EVEN, The New York Times ombudsman slammed his own paper’s piece. The New York Times’ ombudsman strongly criticized the newspaper’s insinuation this week that White House hopeful John McCain had a tryst with a female lobbyist 31 years his junior, nearly 10 years ago.
“The newspaper found itself in the uncomfortable position of being the story as much as publishing the story, in large part because, although it raised one of the most toxic subjects in politics — sex — it offered readers no proof that McCain and (Vicki) Iseman had a romance,” public editor Clark Hoyte wrote in the Times’ online edition.
Clark Hoyt, the New York Times’ Public Editor’s critique is here: What That McCain Article Didn’t Say.
Another low for the MSM and the New York Times. How many subscribers and advertisers did they lose in this debacle?

John McCain Watch: The New York Times Debacle
The Gray Lady by Michael Ramirez
The New York Times attempt to smear John McCain was a “thin” story and has been widely discredited. The Washington Post today has attempted to revive a lobbyist-business corruption angle of the story but EVEN that is in dispute.
The story is dead.

The AP Lies about “Bush Lied and People Died”
Chairman of the Soros Fund Management, USA, George Soros, pauses before speaking during a seminar at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Wednesday Jan. 23, 2008.
Flap woke up to this NEWS (?) story this morning on Early Today on NBC. Why, of course President George Bush LIED over hundreds of times to lead the USA into the Iraq War. What a load of crap. There was no context, no background and no journalism.
NBC simply reported what the Associated Press and New York Times handed them.
The AP screams: Study: False statements preceded war
A study by two nonprofit journalism organizations found that President Bush and top administration officials issued hundreds of false statements about the national security threat from Iraq in the two years following the 2001 terrorist attacks.
The study concluded that the statements “were part of an orchestrated campaign that effectively galvanized public opinion and, in the process, led the nation to war under decidedly false pretenses.”
The study was posted Tuesday on the Web site of the Center for Public Integrity, which worked with the Fund for Independence in Journalism.
Hummmmm a George Soros sponsored and funded anti-war study with an agenda.
Whatever the motivation, it’s clear that the reporter, Douglas K. Daniel, paid no attention to the man behind the curtain. The Center for Public Integrity is one of many George Soros fronts. Soros pays the bills and his minions, whether they happen to work at the CPI or the Center for American Progress or Media Matters or wherever, dance to his tune. And Soros has made it his life’s work to bring down the Bush administration. He says it’s the “central focus of my life.†Do you think people paid to to “research†by a man with that stated mission are likely to deliver unbiased findings?
More crap journalism, if you can call this journalism from the Associated Press.

New York Times = Left Wing Fringe Rag
*****UPDATE*****
Rudy Giuliani called on The New York Times to allow the campaign to purchase a full page ad at the same discounted rate they provided MoveOn.Org for their “abominable†ad attacking General Petraeus.
Listen here: http://blip.tv/file/377008
News item: TIMES GIVES LEFTIES A HEFTY DISCOUNT FOR ‘BETRAY US’ AD
The New York Times dramatically slashed its normal rates for a full-page advertisement for MoveOn.org’s ad questioning the integrity of Gen. David Petraeus, the commander of U.S. forces in Iraq.
Headlined “Cooking the Books for the White House,” the ad which ran in Monday’s Times says Petraeus is “a military man constantly at war with the facts” and concluded – even before he testified before Congress – that “General Petraeus is likely to become General Betray Us.”
According to Abbe Serphos, director of public relations for the Times, “the open rate for an ad of that size and type is $181,692.”
A spokesman for MoveOn.org confirmed to The Post that the liberal activist group had paid only $65,000 for the ad – a reduction of more than $116,000 from the stated rate.
Left Wing Fringe Rag may be TOO mild of a term.

Cox & Forkum: Opus Akbar
New item: Washington Post, Other Newspapers Won’t Run ‘Opus’ Cartoon Mocking Radical Islam.
A popular comic strip that poked fun at the Rev. Jerry Falwell without incident one week ago was deemed too controversial to run over the weekend because this time it took a humorous swipe at Muslim fundamentalists.
The Washington Post and several other newspapers around the country did not run Sunday’s installment of Berkeley Breathed’s “Opus,” in which the spiritual fad-seeking character Lola Granola appears in a headscarf and explains to her boyfriend, Steve, why she wants to become a radical Islamist.
The installment did not appear in the Post’s print version, but it ran on WashingtonPost.com and Salon.com. The same will hold true for the upcoming Sept. 2 strip, which is a continuation of the plotline.
The Jerry Falwell comic strip is here.
The Wahington Post and other American newspapers have NO problems with political satire on the comic pages if it involves the Christian RIGHT but are afraid when it involves Islam.
Remember the FLAP over the Muhammed Caricatures from Denmark last year?
The August 26th Opus strip about fundamental Islam is here.
The Washington Post Writers Group syndicates “Opus,” and the Post is the cartoon’s home newspaper. The syndicate sent out an alert about the two strips in question, according to Writers Group comics editor Amy Lago.
There was also considerable alarm over the strip at the highest echelons of The Washington Post Co., according to the sources.
Lago said she flagged some of the syndicate’s newspaper clients for two reasons: because of the possibility that the jokes about Islam would be misconstrued and because of the sexual innuendo in the punchline.
“The strip came in and I knew we would have to send out an alert to all the newspapers,” Lago said. “I do that fairly regularly with materials that might pose issues for local areas. … We knew that because it was a sex joke, it could raise issues. And there is another client that has issues with any Muslim depiction whatsoever.”
Sounds like a DOUBLE STANDARD to Flap.
Is the Washington Post afraid of offending the Muslims? Or afraid of a backhanded sex joke?
Oh PLEASE………
The Wapo will publish America’s national security secrets without hesitation and have done so on numerous occasions.
Maybe Wapo editors are afraid the Islamic fundamentalists might burn their building down? Or kidnap and behead their reporters?
Is there any WONDER why the American newspaper industry is dying a “SLOW DEATH?”
Freedom of speech – NOT found at the Washington Post.

The New York Times and its Publisher Arthur Ochs Sulzberger Jr. is worried that the Wall Street Journal will out compete the New York Times and bury them circulation-wise and financially. The WSJ would then become the pre-eminent American daily newspaper and the national newspaper of record.

Tabloid Prodigy Marlise Elizabeth Kast
Tabloid Prodigy Marlise Elizabeth Kast
Marlise Kast bitch slaps Luke Ford but his interview with her is good.
Luke,
I just read your blog and was somewhat saddened by your introduction to the interview. Although I considered your questions extremely insightful, I’m not sure I quite understand your ultimate purpose in including me on lukeford.net. The fact that you “wanted a chance at my virginity” is not only insulting but extremely rude and unprofessional. Perhaps you can understand why I have no intention of answering any more of your questions.
Of course, Kevin Roderick is happy to dish the dust-up.
