Yes, Chris, isn’t the emergency internet take-over bill in line with Obama’s game plan to neutralize any dissent to his “Hope and Change?”

I mean Obama already has NBC and ABC in his hip pocket – one example being their refusal to accept anti-Obamacare television ads.

This kind of government power grab of the internet is just plain scary.

The MSM media bowing down to “The One” is becoming a sickening display as the syncophants rush to bolster their Nielsen ratings.

What ever happened to the “Fourth Estate?”

In an egregious display of one sidedness, ABC has even refused to sell ads critical of Obama healthcare reform policies during their broadcast from inside the White House. Plus, they are not allowing a GOP response.

America media is resembling the state controlled media in Iran more every day.

When will the American press revert to its independent and often cynical role of analyzing government policies? Or, will they continue to cover such events as Obama killing a fly?

Sarah Palin Strikes Back Against The Media – Think You Have Heard the Last From Her?

    January 7, 2009 /
In an lengthy interview for the forthcoming documentary “Media Malpractice” Governor Sarah Palin, for the first time at length, takes on the media coverage of her and the 2008 campaign

Flap is amazed at the negative BUZZ that Alaska Governor Sarah Palin continues to draw in the “Drive-by Media” and in the LEFT blogosphere.

A little more experience in public office, especially in foreign affairs and watch out. Flap sees 2008 for Palin as Reagan’s 1976 run against Gerald Ford – pre-emptive.

Sarah Palin will re-emerge on the national political stage sooner than the Democrats like to admit.

Fancy that! All of Obama’s Chicagoland buddies are either in jail or facing prosecution for crimes regarding political corruption.

And, not a word of alarm was voiced by the “in the tank” MSM during the last few months before the election.

More media bankruptcies in the future – NO DOUBT.

Barack Obama this weekend released another You Tube video –  this time announcing his economic recovery plan. Obama is talking over the fawning MSM that MIGHT wake up and ask him “REAL” questions.

With Team Obama’s e-mail network of over ten million supporters, six to eight million cell phone numbers (from the text message announcement of Joe Biden as Vice President) and three million supporters on Facebook, Barack can talk over the press and go directly to his base.

    And, why not?

Obama has the best of both worlds.

    How will the GOP respond?

    So far with crickets……..

President-elect Barack Obama and his wife Michelle describe the moment on election night when the reality of his victory hit home, in their first post-election interview with CBS reporter Steve Croft, in Chicago, November 14, 2008

Howard Kurtz is RIGHT on this one.

    The FALL will be HARD.

New media, including the blogosphere, will not bow down to “The One” which will lead to an accelerated move away from the traditional media.

Watch for the MSM to become more of a repeater service to the blogs as the newspapers decline in circulation and politicians create their own media content. Note: Barack Obama’s nationwide radio address today was released directly to You Tube.

Patterico is definitely onto something here.

Guess Kurtz and Sully are as gullible as the others or is it intentional?

Day By Day by Chris Muir

The New York Times is clinging to their agenda driven press coverage despite the fact that their number of subscribers is dramatically shrinking.

    Why?

Why? I think I know, because had my life taken a different path, I could have been one: Picture yourself in your 50s in a job where you’ve spent 30 years working your way to the top, to the cockpit of power … only to discover that you’re presiding over a dying industry. The Internet and alternative media are stealing your readers, your advertisers and your top young talent. Many of your peers shrewdly took golden parachutes and disappeared. Your job doesn’t have anywhere near the power and influence it did when your started your climb. The Newspaper Guild is too weak to protect you any more, and there is a very good chance you’ll lose your job before you cross that finish line, 10 years hence, of retirement and a pension.

In other words, you are facing career catastrophe — and desperate times call for desperate measures. Even if you have to risk everything on a single Hail Mary play. Even if you have to compromise the principles that got you here. After all, newspapers and network news are doomed anyway — all that counts is keeping them on life support until you can retire.

And then the opportunity presents itself — an attractive young candidate whose politics likely matches yours, but more important, he offers the prospect of a transformed Washington with the power to fix everything that has gone wrong in your career.

With luck, this monolithic, single-party government will crush the alternative media via a revived fairness doctrine, re-invigorate unions by getting rid of secret votes, and just maybe be beholden to people like you in the traditional media for getting it there.

And besides, you tell yourself, it’s all for the good of the country …

If the shoe fits Bill Keller……

Barack Obama has been feeding the MSM for over a year now. First, they carnivorously ate Hillary Clinton and now they are going after Sarah Palin.

But, after the election, should Obama win, will they be satiated with the BS fertilizer from the White House Communications office?

How do you spell Camelot II?
