Father Michael Pfleger Returns to St. Sabina

Father Michael Pfleger returns to St. Sabina

He’s back after a two week suspension by Chicago’s Cardinal Francis George.

At St. Sabina on Sunday, ushers distributed fliers with a silhouette of boxing great Muhammad Ali that said: “Ain’t nothing like a comeback.”

When Pfleger entered the church, the congregation rose to their feet and cheered.

Later during his sermon, Pfleger spoke about his two-week suspension as a test of faith.

“You will fall. I will fall. And even though we fall, we can get back up again,” he said. “Stumbles will shake you. Stumbles will also purify you. They will cause you to ask yourself what really matters.

Flap knows that this character will be a gift that keeps on giving to John McCain and the GOP because Barack Obama and Howard Dean cannot hide him away like Jeremiah Wright.

One more time – Pfleger’s anti-white rant against Hillary Clinton:

Yet, Chris, Americans thus far have forgiven or at least turned their head the other way with Barack Obama’s association with:

    • Jeremiah Wright – God Damn America preaching black liberation Pastor for over 20 years
    • Michael Pfleger – Anti-American racist priest
    • William Ayers – Far left Radical terrorist bomber
    • Bernardine Dohrn – Far left Radical terrorist bomber

If Obama had been on the RIGHT, the MSM would have had him for lunch.

    Is Flap missing something here?

Father Michael Pfleger Removed from St. Sabina Parish

Father Michael Pfleger preaching at Barack Obama’s church, Trinity United. The mocking of Hillary Clinton around 2:10.

Father Michael Pfleger has been removed from his duties at St. Sabina Parish.

The firebrand pastor of St. Sabina parish was removed from his duties there Tuesday, according to a statement released by the Archdiocese of Chicago.

In the statement, Cardinal Francis George says he asked the Rev. Michael Pfleger, 59, to “take leave for a couple of weeks from his pastoral duties.” The statement said Pfleger “does not believe this to be the right step at this time.” “While respecting his disagreement, I have nevertheless asked him to use this opportunity to reflect on his recent statements and actions in the light of the Church’s regulations for all Catholic priests,” George said.

Cardinal George should have removed this NUTBALL years ago. The Cardinal should permanently retire him if he does not abstain from all political activity in accordance to church law and transfer him out of Chicago.

Damn the Catholic Church has alot of reconciliation to do. They have priests molesting children, pay $millions in damages and they have hate-mongers like Pfleger spewing black liberation crap from the pulpit.

No wonder the church has been in such disrepute.

Michael Pfleger Watch: America is the Greatest Sin Against God

In a sermon given at Obama’s FORMER church, Pfleger describes how racist America is today and how natural this is, right after checking his notes

In the infamous “last straw for Obama” sermon a week ago Sunday at Trinity United, Father Michael Pfleger rants about a racist America.

“Racism is still America’s greatest addiction,” Pfleger says. “I also believe that America is the greatest sin against God.”

There seems to be a mixed reaction to that from the pews. But Pfleger explains:

“If the greatest command is to love, than the sin against love must be the greatest sin against God who IS love and who calls us to love one another. So that this greatest sin against God, racism, it’s as natural as the air we breath.”

And, what EXACTLY is the relationship which spans decades between Barack Obama and Father Pfleger?

In September, the Obama campaign brought Pfleger to Iowa to host one of several interfaith forums for the campaign. Pfleger has given money to Obama’s campaigns and Obama as a state legislator directed at least $225,000 towards social programs at St. Sabina’s, according to the Chicago Tribune. Pfleger appears to have been scrubbed from the Obama campaign’s page that features the testimony of faith leaders, but you can see the cached version HERE.

The swift boating of Barack Obama will be alternated between Father Pfleger and Pastor Jeremiah Wright. These rants will NOT play well with white working class voters in the Midwest where the Presidential race will be either won or lost.

Will the Democrat Superdelegates EVEN notice?

Father Michael Pfleger Watch: The Hillary Apology

Father Michael Pfleger preaching at Barack Obama’s church, Trinity United. The mocking of Hillary Clinton around 2:10.

And, after this sermon Father Pfleger returned to his church St. Sabina’s and launched into another tirade against the Clintons.

But, this morning Father Pfleger apologized on his church website after telling the Chicago press on Saturday night that he had received death threats and said: “They want to kill me…it’s been ugly.”

Last Sunday, I was invited by Trinity United Church of Christ to come and preach on the topic of race.

I agreed to do so because of my love for Trinity, Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Rev. Otis Moss, III and because all my life I have sought to deal with the reality of racism. As I said, Last Sunday, I have committed myself to tear down the walls that divide us wherever they stand.

In 1966, as a junior in high school, amidst all the hate and meanness that surrounded me in Marquette Park, I heard more than the voice of Dr. king calling for community over chaos. I heard that small voice from within, that said, I am showing you this now, because you must spend your life trying to eradicate this.

The last few days have been the most painful days of my life, even more so than the murder of Jarvis, my foster son.

For years I have had to deal with media that have sought to define me and often times put me into their box or stereotype.

But that was the cost of being a public figure and for fighting in public battles. But this was a new level, when the world is meeting you for the first time from a dramatization in a sermon that I felt was in the sacredness of a sanctuary, among people who know me and then find a “Youtube” that in no way defines the sermon or the message that I preached, nor the person or pastor that I am. It is painful and shattering.

It is painful that as a result of this video over 3,000 email of hate, threats, and name calling, who go so far as to ask you to kill yourself or take your life, greet you in less than 24 hours, and you are bombarded by mean hateful and racial name calling, yes, it is very painful.

It is also grieving to me when a 1.5 minute “Youtube” video becomes the headlines across the world of papers and news stations, while the tragedy and death of earthquakes, cyclones, and tornadoes that have taken lives of people around this world, while the killing of our children across the country and here in Chicago, and the easy access to guns have become stories on page 18 and 19, and while people are at my front door, looking for food to eat or gas to get to work, indeed that grieves me.

Brothers and sisters, racism is an explosive and sensitive sin in our world and it is against the command to love, and against the God of love.

I said on Thursday, I apologize for words that I chose. I apologize for my dramatization that was for many who do not know me, simply typical dramatics I often use in sermons.

I apologize for anyone who was offended and who thought it to be mockery, that was not my intent, nor my heart.

For whatever damage that was caused to any human being and for any offense felt, especially to any of the candidates or their families, I am deeply sorry and I pray that my apology will be accepted even by those who say they won’t accept it.

I am neither a racist nor a sexist. I am constrained by this great Gospel that I have been called to preach, to be an agent of reconciliation, as well as a truth teller.

However – we must, if we are to move forward and become who God has called us to be as a human family, we must be willing to have an honest and open discussion on race and justice, and it must be on the equal ground at the foot of Calvary.

We have as a Country done many great things, but we will never become a great Country until justice flows like a river and righteousness like a mighty stream, for each and every human life.

As for what is next, I ask that you wrap me in prayer – I don’t know.

I ask that you pray, that I still might be a voice of truth, in season and out of season, and that I might have the courage to bear whatever wounds that may cost.

As for my defining – Dr. King, my mentor said, that he only wanted to be remembered as a Drum Major for Justice and indeed that is my only hope, and that is what I have tried to do since that afternoon in Marquette Park.

Hate me if you will. Hate my imperfect presentation. Hate my imperfect dramatization. Hate my imperfect articulation. I have never presumed to be anything, but imperfect, but I pray I can still beat the drum of justice, even if sometimes I am off beat.

    Thank you.

Statement of apology to the church family.

Barack Obama has, in the meantime, left his church of over twenty years, Trinity United, over this mess. But, are Father Pfleger’s apology and Obama’s non-repudiation and non-denouncement of Trinity United enough?

Watch Obama’s comments in the video below:

Barack Obama quits his hateful church but will not denounce it.

Barack Obama should have quit Trinity United years ago, unless he believes and accepts the black liberation theology crap that is promoted there week after week.

Why did Obama have Father Pfleger campaign for him in Iowa and pay his expenses. And, why did Obama obtain earmarks (paid by the United States treasury/taxpayers) worth hundreds of thousands delivered up to Pfleger’s church and ministry?

No, Pfleger’s apology to the Clinton’s is half-hearted and not to be believed – just as Obama’s resignation from his church.

Two words explain it all – POLITICALLY EXPEDIENT.

Bill Clinton and Joel Osteen and Chelsea Clinton

Joel and Victoria Osteen, along with their son, Jonathan, 13, host President Clinton and his daughter, Chelsea, at Lakewood Church on Sunday March 2, 2008

Father Michael Pfleger of Chicago’s St. Sabina’s church who has been reprimanded by the Cardinal of his Chicago archdiocese for remarks he made last Sunday at Barack Obama’s former church (Trinity United) apparently bashed the Clinton’s at his own church.

At his own church, St. Sabina’s, Pfleger said, “Hillary and McCain would wish they had a preacher with the integrity of Jeremiah Wright. … They got some old weak preacher…some old Joel Osteen cotton candy preacher.”

Listen to it HERE. The comments come at about 15:40 into the sermon.

On March 2, Bill and Chelsea Clinton went to Joel Osteen’s church in Houston.

Now, Obama has AFTER twenty years FINALLY quit Trinity United and repudiated Jeremiah Wright.

Back over to Obama to have a presser and do the same repudiation mea culpa to this nutball. Jim Geraghty asks this question:

The question is, do Osteen’s two million weekly viewers and three million book buyers take it personally?

Do the Democrat Superdelegates REALLY think that Barack Obama will be a better candidate to run against Senator John McCain than Hillary Clinton?

Flap thinks this is very wishful thinking and why Hillary will hold on to the Denver Convention, waiting for the next shoe to drop.
