Jay Carney to Leave Time Magazine and Become Joe Biden’s FLACK

    Joe-Biden-Press-for-Hire

    This is hilarious.

Of course, Jay Carney is leaving for a government job.

Jay Carney is leaving Time magazine after 20 years to be President-elect Biden’s communications director in the White House, astonished magazine and gleeful transition sources said.

Carney’s title will be assistant to the vice president and director of communications. TIME.com’s “The Page” first reported his new job.

Carney, the magazine’s Washington bureau chief, is one of Washington’s best-known talking heads, with regular appearances on ABC’s “This Week,” “The McLaughlin Group” and MSNBC’s “Hardball.”

Time Magazine is failing just like the rest of the MSM and Carney can read a spreadsheet.

So, when you get your GUY elected – jump at the chance, RIGHT?

Day By Day by Chris Muir November 30, 2008 – Modern Government

Flap was off yesterday but Chris Muir’s Sunday cartoon was special:

    Day By Day 113008

Day By Day by Chris Muir

Sounds like Geoge Orwell’s 1984 arrived 25 years late, Chris.

NBC News will be the new “THOUGHT POLICE” enforcing the Obama “NEWSPEAK.” Well, at least until the Democrats and new President decide to impart THEIR “Fairness Doctrine” on the MSM.

And, remember when Joe Biden said it was patriotic to pay more taxes to the state? More NEWSPEAK.

Joe Biden Can’t Take a Tough Interview

What do you expect from a career politician who could not write his own papers in law school or his own speeches when he first ran for President?

Here is the first interview with Orlando, Florida WFTV-Channel 9’s Barbara West. Flap will embed the video below but it may be taken down from You Tube so here is the direct link to the video on the station’s website:

After the above interview with Biden, the Obama campaign canceled an interview with Joe Biden’s wife, Jill.

Biden so disliked West’s line of questioning that the Obama campaign canceled a WFTV interview with Jill Biden, the candidate’s wife.

“This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election,” wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign.

McGinnis said the Biden cancellation was “a result of her husband’s experience yesterday during the satellite interview with Barbara West.”

Now, Slow Joe Biden has had a run-in with another television station (this time in Philadelphia) who wouldn’t lob him softball questions for an interview. Here is the video.

Guess if you want to talk to “The One’s VP” it is best ot keep it on the down-lo. What is going to happen with these two, should they be elected and have to face the criticism of the national and international press?

Oh, yeah. A modification of the “Fairness Doctrine.” Outlaw criticism in the name of Obama fairness.

    Less free speech, not more……

Joe Biden Watch: America’s Enemies Will TEST Obama

    testing-Obama

Democrat Senator and Vice Presidential nominee Joe Biden and former Secretary of State Colin Powell who endorsed Barack Obama Sunday agree that should Obama be elected President he will be immediately tested.

Joe Biden warned that America’s enemies would test Barack Obama with an international crisis within six months if he’s elected president – a shocking comment John McCain eagerly pounced on yesterday to claim Obama isn’t ready to be commander-in-chief.

“Mark my words,” Biden told donors at a Seattle fund-raiser Sunday night.

“It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America.

“Watch. We’re going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.

“And he’s going to need help . . . to stand with him. Because it’s not going to be apparent initially; it’s not going to be apparent that we’re right.”

The audio and video of Powell and Biden is here and below:

    The John McCain response:

“The next president won’t have time to get used to the office. We face many challenges here at home and many enemies abroad in this dangerous world,” McCain said. “We don’t want a president who invites ‘testing’ from the world at a time when our economy is in crisis and Americans are already fighting two wars.”

McCain said it was even “more troubling” that Biden suggested supporters stick by Obama if the actions he takes are wrong or unpopular.

“Senator Obama won’t have the right response, and we know that because we’ve seen the wrong response from him over and over during this campaign,” he said.

Now, even former Clinton Administration Secretary of State Madeleine Albright agrees: it is a ‘statement of fact’ that terrorists will test Sen. Obama within first six months of his presidency.

    The video:

Is Obama experienced and prepared to be President?

Who do American voters want answering that 3 AM call in the White House?

    John McCain…….

Joe Biden Watch: Gird Your Loins

Joe Biden On The Prospect Of Testing An Obama Administration

Good Ol’ Slow Joe Biden putting his foot in his mouth again:

ABC News’ Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.

“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you – not financially to help him – we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

Not only will the next administration have to deal with foreign affairs issues, Biden warned, but also with the current economic crisis.

“Gird your loins,” Biden told the crowd. “We’re gonna win with your help, God willing, we’re gonna win, but this is not gonna be an easy ride. This president, the next president, is gonna be left with the most significant task. It’s like cleaning the Augean stables, man….”

Pretty creepy that your own Vice President thinks that Barack Obama is “INEXPERIENCED” and not up to the task – just yet. Let’s open the door, Slow Joe, to every terrorist or terrorist nation in the world to now test a President Obama.

NOT too smart……But typical Joe Biden…….

Does Barack Obama Support New Coal Plants or NOT?

When Flap first visited the coal plant issue in September, Joe Biden was caught saying NO new coal plants and Barack Obama saying yes, as Obama did in last night’s debate with John McCain.

Here is the video of Joe Biden’s statement:

Later it was discovered that Barack Obama repudiated Biden.

Obama’s Department of Energy will enter into public private partnerships to develop five “first-of-a-kind” commercial scale coal-fired plants with clean carbon capture and sequestration technology.

But, now there is this report from Bloomberg:

Barack Obama will classify carbon dioxide as a dangerous pollutant that can be regulated should he win the presidential election on Nov. 4, opening the way for new rules on greenhouse gas emissions.

The Democratic senator from Illinois will tell the Environmental Protection Agency that it may use the 1990 Clean Air Act to set emissions limits on power plants and manufacturers, his energy adviser, Jason Grumet, said in an interview. President George W. Bush declined to curb CO2 emissions under the law even after the Supreme Court ruled in 2007 that the government may do so.

If elected, Obama would be the first president to group emissions blamed for global warming into a category of pollutants that includes lead and carbon monoxide. Obama’s rival in the presidential race, Republican Senator John McCain of Arizona, has not said how he would treat CO2 under the act.

Obama “would initiate those rulemakings,” Grumet said in an Oct. 6 interview in Boston. “He’s not going to insert political judgments to interrupt the recommendations of the scientific efforts.”

Placing heat-trapping pollutants in the same category as ozone may lead to caps on power-plant emissions and force utilities to use the most expensive systems to curb pollution. The move may halt construction plans on as many as half of the 130 proposed new U.S. coal plants.

So, is Barack Obama lying about his intentions regarding new coal plants or is he just blowing MORE smoke to fool the American voters?

    What say you, Barack?

Day By Day by Chris Muir October 3, 2008 – Barracuda Run!

    Day By Day 100308

Day By Day by Chris Muir

Sarah (Barracuda) Palin helped John McCain, herself as a politician and the GOP with a masterful performance against Joe Biden last night at the Vice Presidential debate.

The pundit chant of “Let Sarah Be Sarah” was heeded and Palin showed sufficient command to erase doubts about her ability to understand and deal with the complex issues of the Vice Presidency.

Now, Team McCain must allow Sarah to campaign, motivate the GOP base and persuade enough undecided voters to vote the McCain-Palin ticket in about a month.
