Michael Ramirez on the Turkey Armenian Genocide Flap
Murtha: Armenian Genocide Vote to Fail
Rep. John Murtha, a prominent Democrat, said Wednesday that his party’s leadership underestimated opposition to a resolution on Armenian genocide and predicted that such a vote would easily fail.
Murtha’s comments came as President Bush urged Congress not to infuriate Turkey, considered a key U.S. and NATO ally that has facilitated the flow of critical cargo to American troops fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The House proposal, which would label as genocide the killing of Armenians a century ago by Ottoman Turks, has inflamed U.S. tensions with Turkey, which says the death toll has been inflated and was the result of civil unrest. Support for the nonbinding resolution deteriorated this week after Turkey recalled its U.S. ambassador to Ankara and congressional opponents including Murtha, D-Pa., warned their colleagues that it would cripple U.S. relations with Turkey.
During the Clinton Administration, President Clinton asked the GOP House Speaker Dennis Hastert to not bring up this resolution in the name of national security. President Bush asked the same of Democrat Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Pelosi would not accomodate the President and has brought up this resolution that will now likely fail.
Is there any wonder why the Congress under her Democrat leadership is languishing in the polls? And alienating allies.

Michael Ramirez on Nobel Prize Winner Al Gore
ONE of the world’s foremost meteorologists has called the theory that helped Al Gore share the Nobel Peace Prize “ridiculous” and the product of “people who don’t understand how the atmosphere works”.
Dr William Gray, a pioneer in the science of seasonal hurricane forecasts, told a packed lecture hall at the University of North Carolina that humans were not responsible for the warming of the earth.
His comments came on the same day that the Nobel committee honoured Mr Gore for his work in support of the link between humans and global warming.
“We’re brainwashing our children,” said Dr Gray, 78, a long-time professor at Colorado State University. “They’re going to the Gore movie [An Inconvenient Truth] and being fed all this. It’s ridiculous.
Remember Gore once claimed he was the inventor of the internet.
The Nobel Prize committee has been losing credibility for years. This is a “POLITICAL” award not one based on science or any other objective measure.

Michael Ramirez on Chris Matthews and the GOP Debate
First, Some Questions For Matthews
For unknown reasons, Republican candidates have agreed to a second debate moderated by a hard-core Democrat who thinks President Bush is a criminal. This time it is they who should really play hardball.
The GOP Presidential candidates should have demanded that Chris Matthews be replaced as a moderator for this debate. After all, the Democrats boycotted the Nevada debate sponsored by Fox News.
Flap wonders if any of the candidates will have the COJONES to confront Matthews on his recent statements about President Bush and Vice President Cheney?
If they cannot stand up to NUTTER Matthews how can we expect them to stand up to Putin and Ahmadinejad?

Barack Obama: “We’re going to keep on praising together. I am confident that we can create a Kingdom right here on Earth.”
Flap doesn’t think this will play with Hillary’s more secular game plan to win the Presidency.
Bill Richardson will most probably run for the United States Senate seat of retiring GOP Senator Pete Domenici.
So, who will Hillary choose to be her running mate?

Michael Ramirez on the Rush Limbaugh Phony Soldier Attack
Yes, Michael, Dingy Harry Reid, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are attempting to deflect DAMAGE from the MoveOn.org Petraeus ad in the New York Times.
And, they are also firing a SALVO on conservative talk radio in an attempt to neutralize Rush and Bill O’Reilly’s power in the upcoming Presidential elections.
Rush has defended himself well but the entire FLAP is BS anyway.
A PHONY FLAP, you say?
Now, a Hillary Clinton surrogate, General Wesley Clark on the NBC Today Show said he wants Rush Limbaugh off Armed Forces Radio.
How silly will the LEFT go in playing MUDBALL?

Flap can see the television ads with the revolving door now.
The eventual GOP nominee (hopefully Rudy Giuliani) will have alot of campaigning to do. But, Hillary Clinton should not be selecting drapes for the Oval Office.
Have you seen the latest on her STEALTH health care strategy for universal Hillary Care?

Michael Ramirez on Hillary Care 2.0
Now, Hillary wants to give $5,000 for EVERY baby.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton said Friday that every child born in the United States should get a $5,000 “baby bond” from the government to help pay for future costs of college or buying a home.
Clinton, her party’s front-runner in the 2008 race, made the suggestion during a forum hosted by the Congressional Black Caucus.
“I like the idea of giving every baby born in America a $5,000 account that will grow over time, so that when that young person turns 18 if they have finished high school they will be able to access it to go to college or maybe they will be able to make that downpayment on their first home,” she said.
The New York senator did not offer any estimate of the total cost of such a program or how she would pay for it. Approximately 4 million babies are born each year in the United States.
As if her Hillary Care 2.0 health care proposal wasn’t budget busting enough. This latest GAFFE continues to highlight how UNREALISTIC she is.
Didn’t Democrat Senator George McGovern running for President in 1972 make a similar proposal?
McGovern’s platform also included an across-the-board, 37% reduction in defense spending over three years [White p. 123]; and a “demogrant” program giving $1,000 to every citizen in America [White p. 125] that was later changed to creating a $6,500 guaranteed minimum income for Americans, and was later dropped from the platform.
And where did that get him? Right, a landslide loss.
Keep it up Hillary – PANDER SOME MORE.

Michael Ramirez on Hillary Clinton and Norman Hsu
Norman Hsu’s legal woes likely to follow Clinton
Norman Hsu was politician’s dream who became a nightmare. He knew people, hosted fundraisers, solicited donations. And he was an unabashed fan of Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Now in disgrace, his role as one of Clinton’s top money bundlers will dog him and her presidential campaign while law enforcement authorities investigate his business and political dealings.
Eager to sever her links to Hsu, the Clinton campaign this week returned $850,000 in contributions linked to his fundraising activities. But Hsu’s troubles aren’t over and the spotlight on his political connections won’t recede easily.
Hsu is the latest poster boy for rogue fundraising, a man whose political shoulder rubbing reinvented him and then did him in. For Clinton, Hsu threatens to be an unwelcome reminder of the fundraising scandals that pursued her husband and the Democratic Party in the 1990s.
Rudy Giuliani has not weighed into this flap yet. But, Fred Thompson has been asking:
Didn’t you learn anything from Charlie Trie?

Michael Ramirez on Congressional Overspending
A twisted tale of congressional earmarking
A twisted tale of congressional earmarking has taken another turn.
The U.S. Navy wants a business owned by the family of Rep. Paul E. Kanjorski to hand over a piece of high-tech equipment bought with some of the $9.25 million in taxpayer funds Kanjorski steered to the company.
Except no one seems to know where to find the equipment — a high-pressure pump.
The mystery of the missing pump, combined with newly unearthed evidence that federal investigators probed Kanjorski’s connections to the company, Cornerstone Technologies, has given new life to a story that seems unlikely to go away.In a parody of the Larry Craig scandal, Michael Ramirez highlights the REAL crime Congress is committing.

Michael Ramirez on Democrat Fundraiser Norman Hsu and the Clintons
A controversial Hillary Clinton fund-raiser surrendered to California authorities yesterday – 15 years after skipping out on a possible three-year jail term for a fraud conviction.
Businessman Norman Hsu was cuffed and bail was set at $2 million, with a judge turning down his request to cut the bail in half. He was released on bail five hours later.
The Clintons and the smell of dirty campaign money has returned (remember Bill Clinton’s pardon of Mark Rich?) and is tainting the Democrat Party.
All of the Democrats who received Hsu’s contributions are now scrambling to rid themselves of the money – from New Jersey’s Senators to New Mexico’s Governor and Presidential candidate Bill Richardson.
Fancy that……
Stay tuned as Hsu and the others are scrutinized for their ties to foreign interests.
And the Los Angeles Times asks how Hillary could not know about Hsu.
Gateway Pundit has an excellent round-up of the Hsu-nami that has hit Hillary and other Democrats:
- Macranger has more on the curious Mr. Hsu.
- Kurt Hoglund built a Google Notebook of “All Things Hsu”.
- Don Surber reports- Hillary Hears a Hsu
- Clarice Feldman– Left Hand Meet Right Hand
- Captain’s Quarters questions Hillary.
Hillary’s donor case goes back to court next week
Michelle Malkin reports that the Justice Department is looking into Norman Hsu’s possible straw campaign donations as a result of the Wall Street Journal report.
