Update: Chris Schauble Now a News Anchor at KTLA: WTF Happened to KNBC News Anchor Chris Schauble?

Anchor Frank Buckley (right) is scaling back his hours on KTLAs morning newscast and Chris Schauble (far right), most recently an anchor-reporter with KNBC, is taking his place in the early half of the show.
Starting next Monday, Ill no longer be anchoring the 5-7am hours of the KTLA Morning News and a new guy will be in the anchor chair, Buckley announced in a blog post today on KTLAs website. I was asked to fill in on the 5 and 6am broadcasts on a temporary basis after the departure of our friend Emmett Miller in October. We thought it would last a month or two. Its now March.
Buckley will continue appearing on the newscast between 7 and 10 a.m.
Schauble has been anchoring KNBCs weekend evening newscasts and working as a reporter throughout the week.
I met Chris last year at the Los Angeles Marathon Expo at Dodger Stadium. The Expo will be coming up next week and will look out for him there. I do know he is running the marathon this year.
Now, if we can ONLY get Elita Loresca to make the move.

I understand that Chris will not be running the Los Angeles Marathon this year due to an injury. But, here is video of Chris competing at the 2010 Ford Ironman Triathlon World Championship in Kona, Hawai.

Well, this is understandable, no?Scholars, critics and viewers have noted that some TV newscasts can be momentarily mistaken for Victoria’s Secret specials. In an apparent attempt to capture channel-surfing male viewers, stations have hired attractive female anchors, often outfitting them in attire that emphasizes their sexuality.
This strategy may boost the ratings, but in terms of the programs’ purported purpose — informing the public — recent research suggests it has a definite down side. Males may be drawn to those alluring anchors, but they may not remember what they were talking about.
But, then again, sometimes who cares?

The weather in LA is tough this morning. But……At least there is Elita Loresca , my favorite weather broadcaster.
Yeah, I have been looking for an excuse to post these photos. But, first Elita had to wear her red sweater.
What a way to test out my new Bloggie.And, it makes the cold and rainy weather in Los Angeles so much easier to withstand.

WTF Happened to KNBC News Anchor Chris Schauble?
Chris Schauble says WTF live on NBC, Los AngelesGuess poor Chris Schauble has been suspended/demoted/transferred to weekend anchor at KNBC, Los Angeles duty after his WTF moment.
Chris Schauble was reporting an update about Jaycee Dugard, the California woman who was kidnapped in 1991 and held for 18 years in the backyard of a convicted rapist. The video shown, however, was of Abby Sunderland — the 16-year-old girl who went missing for several days last month while trying to sail solo around the world.
The video mixup prompted Schauble to mouth the explicit phrase (which is an abbreviation for “What The Fuck?”) to viewers. It didn’t take Chris long to realize that the camera had returned to two-shot frame and still being filmed.
The network has since issued an apology over the incident. NBC Los Angeles told TMZ Thursday: “This morning one of our morning anchors mouthed an inappropriate word on air. It was inadvertent and we regret the error.”
Kind of a shame for Chris. I enjoyed his early morning banter and his fitness pieces early in the morning. Now, the only good part of the early morning news is the weather and traffic:

Yeah, I know I am shameless to sneak in a photo of Elita.
But, I met Chris Schauble at the Los Angeles Marathon Expo last March and he was a nice, stand up type of guy. Let’s hope he serves a brief purgatory on the weekends and rejoins the early morning news team.

NBC Television SUCKS Except Elita Loresca

Yeah, Flap is pissed because NBC cancelled one of his favorite shows: Medium.There is hope that Medium will be picked up by CBS.
But barring that NBC with Leftist Commentators over at MSNBC and Conan O’Brien taking over the Tonight show, the only redeeming reason to watch NBC is Elita.
Ok, I exaggerate. There is Poker After Dark and Leeann Tweeden.
