Mexico is protesting what it says is a whopper of an insult.

An advertisement for Burger King’s chili-flavored “Texican” burger that has run in Europe shows a small wrestler dressed in a cape resembling a Mexican flag. The wrestler teams up with a lanky American cowboy twice his height to illustrate the cross-border blend of flavors.

“The taste of Texas with a little spicy Mexican,” a narrator’s voice says.

The much-taller cowboy boosts the wrestler up to reach high shelves and clean tall windows, while the Mexican helps the cowboy open a jar.

Mexico’s ambassador to Spain said Monday he has written a letter to Burger King’s offices in that nation objecting to the ad and asking that it be removed. Jorge Zermeno told Radio Formula that the ads “improperly use the stereotyped image of a Mexican.”

Press officials at Burger King Corp. offices in Miami, Florida, and Madrid, Spain, did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Burger King is known for its signature Whopper hamburger.

One of the things that most angered Mexican officials was a print edition of the ad showing the wrestler wearing what appear to be a Mexican flag as a cloak.

“We have to tell these people that in Mexico we have a great deal of respect for our flag,” Zermeno said.

How long will the ad remain…….3…..2……1……….?

Guess that little dance of his in front of the mansion after the last hung jury was premature celebration.

Music producer Phil Spector has been found guilty of second-degree murder in the February 2003 shooting death of actress Lana Clarkson.

Jurors also found Spector personally used the firearm in the commission of the crime.

Spector and his wife entered the courtroom at about 2 p.m. His son and daughter were seated next to him at the counsel’s table.

Members of the Clarkson family, including her mother and sister, also were in the courtroom.

As of this morning, the jury had spent about 29 hours discussing the case over eight days since March 26.

Spector, 69, was charged with murder in the Feb. 3, 2003, shooting death of 40-year-old actress and House of Blues VIP hostess Lana Clarkson at his mansion in Alhambra. He claims she shot herself with his gun.

This was a bizzare case with a bizzare character who will now likely spend the rest of his days in a California prison.

Lesson learned: Don’t play around with guns, especially when you are drinking.

Flap has not really pushed the Tax Day Tea Party movement here because there are references to it all over Twitter and other sites. But, when the FAR LEFT Journolist starts memes against the movement it gives me great pause.

I don’t think Meghan who is reaping the “Maverick” rewards by being a tool of the LEFT wants to clash with the REAL DEAL about values and the Republican Party.

But McCain is mum about Palin now; a Daily Beast spokesman went so far as to warn POLITICO — repeatedly — against asking McCain about the Alaska governor.

Asked about her reluctance to talk about her father’s former running mate, McCain said: “I feel at this point, I don’t feel censored at all. Not discussing Palin is a personal preference.”

She scoffs at those who want to hear her views anyway: “It is like what it is with the kid who can’t eat cookies. It becomes the thing they want to eat.”

After all in Meghan’s own words: “All I am trying to be is a young, cool Republican woman for other Republican women….”

Bet Sarah Palin sets the cool designation straight and has a few choice words about Papa McCain when Meghan decides to open up her mouth about Palin.
