    The Barack Obama Bounce

    newsweek-poll

Barack Obama is enjoying a bounce in the polls but Flap feels the election slip slidding away from John McCain.

An example, with domestic offshore oil drilling much in the public discussion, Team McCain schedules an environmental conference in Santa Barbara, California next Tuesday. Granted McCain is traveling to California to fundraise but he has NO chance of winning “blue” California and where would a Presidential candidate NOT want to talk about offshore oil drilling?

Yeah, you guessed it – Santa Barbara where they had a massive oil spill in 1969 and ugly decades old oil rigs mar the scenic coastline.

McCain better shape up his campaign or he will be blown out early by Obama.

John McCain Watch: Pandering to Chicago Hispanics on Illegal Immigration

    Michael Ramirez on John McCain

Is there any wonder why John McCain is NOT raising money?

And, now Team Obama is jumping all over McCain on illegal immigration.

Obama camp communications director Gibbs tells press on a
media call that McCain’s private meeting with Chicago-area Hispanics on
immigration is the latest example of his “pandering.”

But….Barack Obama is the post-racial candidate for President.

    Right?

Obama won the Democrat nomination by targeting African American voters in “Red” states and winning early caucuses where the Democrat’s have little chances of winning in the fall. Who is anyone kidding.

After Flap finished the Revlon Cancer Walk in Los Angeles some weeks ago, Obama organizers, clip boards in hand, targeted African Americans and asked them to register to vote – ONLY African Americans. One has to wonder about Obama’s post-racial nonsense.

    Plus Ca Change…….

Barack Obama Up With His First General Election TV Ad

BarackObama’s first general election televison ad: “Country I Love”

In Team Obama’s first television ad, Barack Obama is portrayed as “one of us” – a regular guy with family from Kansas. Note the references to family values, and welfare reform.

This is why both Mike Huckabee and Newt Gingrich have warned the GOP and John McCain to not demonize Obama but to draw him out on his liberal and wrong position on the issues.

This ad will air in Alaska, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Virginia, per the campaign – all key battleground states. Marc Ambinder estimates the cost to be close to $3 million per week in these 18 states.

Team McCain has its work cut out for itself.

Malik Obama Says Barack Will Be Good for the Jews Despite His Muslim Background – But Malik Didn’t Say It

A Google Cache shot of the original news story

Remember the humorous quote on the day Barack Obama produced his FightTheSmears website?

    Well, it NEVER occurred.

ABC News got a hold of the audio of Malik’s interview with Israel Army Radio, and Malik said nothing of the kind.

You can’t hear the questions — only Malik’s answers (listen HERE) — but whatever the interviewer asked about Obama’s father’s Muslim heritage, or the Muslim minority in Kenya, Malik said, “I don’t think that’s in any way going to be something to worry about. I myself am not speaking for him. But we are here, we love people in general. People love us. I myself love people who love me. You know, so, and I think it’s mutual. I can’t go in terms of Israel and Kenya and America, and so forth, you know, but based on what else I’ve heard him say and what I know of him as an individual, I don’t think Israel should worry too much, you know, about the connection. Because, I am a Muslim myself, and I don’t think that my being a Muslim has got anything to do with my brother being the President of the United States.”

Barack Obama Watch: Muslims Barred from Obama Photo Op

Barack Obama in Muslim dress-up during visit to Kenya near the borders with Somalia and Ethiopia

What is good for the goose is not good enough for the gander apparently.

Two Muslim women at Barack Obama’s rally in Detroit Monday were barred from sitting behind the podium by campaign volunteers seeking to prevent the women’s headscarves from appearing in photographs or on television with the candidate.

The campaign has apologized to the women, all Obama supporters who said they felt betrayed by their treatment at the rally.

The Democrat prospect of more women voters disappeared with the collapse of the Hillary Clinton Presidential candidacy. Flap doubts that Barack Obama will be able to inspire the legions of women to turn out and vote as Hillary could.

But, in a tough GOP year with an unpopular President, will Barack be able to register and turn out sufficient numbers in other demographics to compensate?

Barack Obama Watch: Osama Bin Laden Still Free Because of GOP and Iraq War

    obamablamesgop

    The Barack Obama quotes:

Obama told reporters that the Republicans have no “standing to suggest that they’ve learned a lot of lessons from 9-11.”

He said they “helped to engineer the distraction of the war in Iraq at a time when we could have pinned down the people who actually committed 9-11.” He said Osama bin Laden is still at large in part because of their failed strategies.

Obama’s view of 9/11, terrorism is RADICAL LEFT, out of the mainstream of opinion and WRONG.

MoveOn.org and AFSCME Channel 100 Years of Iraq War in Anti-McCain ad

New ad by MoveOn.org and the public employee labor union AFSCME

This is a hard-hitting ad targeting John McCain’s “100 Years in Iraq” remark.

Of course, the entire remark has been taken and spun out of context, but what else is new for the LEFT?

    The RNC’s response:

“MoveOn.org was wrong to smear General Petraeus, just like Barack Obama was wrong to not go to Iraq to meet with him. America cannot afford a Commander-in-Chief who listens to partisan groups like MoveOn.org instead of our commanders. Bringing peace and security to Iraq will require a Commander in Chief who won’t allow partisanship to cloud his judgment.”

The unions and left-wing organizations will continue to pound McCain on the unpopular war. But, will the Iraq War be the primary issue in the Fall with conditions on the ground there being dramatically better?

Flap thinks the economy and taxes will supercede the importance of the war.
