Rudy Giuliani Watch: John Edwards Attacks Rudy Over 9/11
John Edwards attacked former New York Mayor Rudy Giulini today over comments regarding 9/11.
Funny that Flap doesn’t see Edwards in any of these World Trade Center 9/11 photos. But, Flap does remember that Edwards called the War on Terror a slogan for a Bumper Sticker and that Rudy was Bush on Steroids.

Edwards is so desperate to curry favor with the extreme left NUTROOTS of the Democrat Party and his benefactor George Soros that he will say PATHETICALLY anything.
By the way, here are the Mayor’s revised or clarified remarks heard on the Mike Gallagher show this morning prior to John Edward’s press release pick up by the Hill:
It is a major concern of mine, the health of the workers there at Ground Zero and, you know, what I was trying to say yesterday is that I empathize with them because I feel like I have that same risk. And the way I said it, I probably could have said it better, but what I was trying to say was I was there quite a bit, there are people that were there more than me, people that were [there] less than me. There were people there less than me, people on my staff, who already have had serious health consequences and they weren’t there as often as I was.
…
But I wasn’t trying to suggest a competition of any kind, which is the way it come across. And I think I could have said it better. You know, what I was saying was ‘I’m there with you.’ Gosh almighty, I was there often enough, even though they were there, people there more and people there less, but I was there often enough so that every health consequence that people have suffered, I could also be suffering. People on my staff were there with me. Some of them weren’t there as often as I was and some of them have gotten sick already.…
Both as an individual and as a former mayor, my goal is the health of the workers there. The people who might get sick, the people who have gotten sick. Some of the people that have gotten sick were some of my close friends and some people that were on my staff that used to come down there with me. And some of them were down there more than I was and some of them were down there less than I was and they still got sick. Even people that were there less than I was. So that was the point I was trying to make. That people who have been exposed to that risk down there are entitled to be taken care of. They’re entitled to get compensation. We should give them everything. I mean they are heroes in my estimation. And what I was trying to say was even those that were there less than me and the reality is that we’re all in this together and I’m there with them and I feel that I have the same concerns that they have.Previous:

John Edwards Calls Rudy Giuliani – “Bush on Steroids”
John Edwards 28,000 square foot compound in North Carolina
Former Senator and defeated Vice President candidate John Edwards called former Mayor Rudy Giuliani – BUSH ON STEROIDS after a recent campaign event in San Francisco. But Edwards saved his biggest bomb for the mini presser afterward, where he responded to Giuliani’s jibe that he and Obama and Hillary, “do not understand a capitalistic economy.â€
“What Giuliani is, is George Bush on steroids.†Edwards said. “Giuliani, Romney and the rest of the Republicans running for the nomination are going to give the country four more years of crony capitalism, which is exactly what we have now. We have insurance companies and drug companies and oil companies running this government. They need to be stopped. And Giuliani just wants to empower them.â€
The fact is John Edwards = HYPOCRITE.
Listen to Edwards campaigning in Dover New Hampshire:

And, then look at his 25,000 square foot home above.
John Edwards understands a capitalistic economy, he lives in it.
However, what John Edwards does NOT understand is that socialist type redistribution policies hurt American businesses and investment.
The Mayor’s quote:
“This is one of the things they do not understand, whether it’s Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama or John Edwards – they do not understand a capitalistic economy. They think it’s bad to make money,†he said, adding that he sees no shame in someone wanting to be rich.

And John Edwards is a light weight in dealing with terrorism as is Obama and Clinton.
It staggers the imagination to think these folks could actually be the President.

Cox & Forkum: War is Heck?
New York Sun: Peace Corps Part of Edwards Terror Plan.
Senator Edwards is outlining a new national security strategy that includes the creation of a 10,000-person civilian peace corps to stem the tide of terrorism in weak and unstable countries. …The plan Mr. Edwards presented yesterday — which he dubbed “A Strategy to Shut Down Terrorists and Stop Terrorism Before It Starts” — calls for a 10,000-person “Marshall Corps” to deal with issues ranging from worldwide poverty and economic development to clean drinking water and micro-lending. He said investing in those areas would shore up weak nations and help ensure that terrorism does not take root there. That, he said, would allow the country to stop potential terrorists before they even join the ranks.
There are “thousands committed to violence” today, he said, and America needs to use all of its tools to go after them. But he said millions more people are “sitting on the fence” about whether to join those ranks. “We have to offer them a hand to our side instead of a shove to the other side of that fence,” he said.
Mr. Edwards proposed creating a Cabinet-level position to oversee the initiative, which he said would require international allies.
The president of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, Clifford May, said he was “skeptical” of Mr. Edwards’s proposal.“Humanitarian aid is a good thing. I approve of that. But it doesn’t really have much to do with the causes of terrorism,” Mr. May said. “Mohamed Atta, the lead terrorist on 9/11, was based in Germany, was well-educated. The causes of terrorism are several, but poverty is not one of them.”
And this from the one term trial lawyer Senator who said there is NO Global War on Terror.
Why is this MORON running for President?

Hillary Clinton Watch: Hillary’s War Part Four
Hillary Clinton addresses Code Pink on March 6, 2003 and discusses Iraq, Saddam Hussein and the run up to the Iraq War.
Hillary didn’t read the Iraq National Intelligence Estimate nor did John Edwards. They both voted for the Iraq War.
Wolf Blitzer of CNN wouldn’t let them dodge the question in last night’s debate.
But, they were fully briefed – whatever that means, since their staff did not read it either.
Obama called Edwards out for his support on the war but does it matter? Or affect frontrunner Hillary?

Hillary Clinton Watch: Hillary’s War Part Three
Hillary Clinton addresses Code Pink on March 6, 2003 and discusses Iraq, Saddam Hussein and the run up to the Iraq War.
Yet if we had to guess, the new development that might create the most fodder at the debate is a five-year-old National Intelligence Estimate. In their new book (and magazine article) on Hillary Clinton, investigative reporters Jeff Gerth and Don Van Natta Jr. allege that she never read the NIE before casting her war vote, which the campaign doesn’t deny. Dodd didn’t read it, and neither did Edwards (despite what he might have said on Wednesday). Interestingly, the Biden camp tells First Read that the Delaware senator DID read it — or at least a draft version of it, which the campaign says had no substantial differences from the final version.
Will Slow Joe Plagiarising Biden have the COJONES to bring this up at the Democrat debate in New Hampshire Sunday?
Will Biden ask Hillary? Or Flipper Edwards?
Edwards says he read the NIE; spokesman later says he dind’t entirely understand question, and didn’t mean to say that.
Flap says they dodge the issue at the debate.
Will the press follow-up?
Stay tuned…….

Rudy slaps Democrat Presidential candidate John Edwards for calling the war on terror a “bumper sticker” slogan Bush used to justify everything from the abuses at the Abu Ghrab prison to the invasion of Iraq.

Rudy Giuliani Watch: Obama, Edwards Prove Giuliani Right
Byron York of National Review: The Democratic Debate: What, Us Weak on Defense?
On Tuesday, Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani accused his Democratic opponents of being weak on terrorism. “The Democrats do not understand the full nature and scope of the terrorist war against us,†Giuliani said. On Thursday, at their debate in Orangeburg, South Carolina, two of the three leading Democratic candidates did their best to prove Giuliani right.
And here is what Rudy said:
And reiterated his speech on the Sean Hannity Radio show:
Byron York is RIGHT.
Flap looks forward to the campaign against the “SURRENDER MONKEY” Democrats.
Weak on defense…….that is just the start.

Rudy Giuliani Watch: Rudy – “America Will Be Safer with a Republican President†The Democrat Response
The Quotes:
“If any Republican is elected president – – and I think obviously I would be the best at this – – we will remain on offense and will anticipate what (the terrorists) will do and try to stop them before they do it,†Giuliani said.
“But the question is how long will it take and how many casualties will we have?†Giuliani said. “If we are on defense (with a Democratic president,) we will have more losses and it will go on longer.â€
“The Democrats do not understand the full nature and scope of the terrorist war against us.â€
“America will (be) safer with a Republican president.â€
“This war ends when they stop coming here to kill us!†Giuliani said. “Never ever again will this country ever be on defense waiting for (terrorists) to attack us if I have anything to say about it. And make no mistake, the Democrats want to put us back on defense!â€
Giuliani said terrorists “hate us and not because of anything bad we have done; it has nothing to do with Israel and Palestine. They hate us for the freedoms we have and the freedoms we want to share with the world.â€
Giuliani continued: “The freedoms we have are in conflict with the perverted, maniacal interpretation of their religion.†He said Americans would fight for “freedom for women, the freedom of elections, freedom of religion, and the freedom of our economy.â€
Addressing the terrorists directly, Giuliani said: “We are not giving that up and you are not going to take it from us!â€
“They were at war with us before we realized it, going back to 90s with all the Americans killed by the PLO and Hezbollah and Hamas,†he said. “They came here and killed us in 1993 (with the first attack on New York’s World Trade Center killing six people) and we didn’t get it. We didn’t get it that this was a war. Then Sept. 11, 2001 happened and we got it.â€
After Rudy’s delivered line of “We are not giving that up and you are not going to take it from us!†the crowd assembled at the New Hampshire Rockingham County Lincoln Day Dinner thundered its approval.
And remember that Flap asked the Democrat Presidential candidates to respond?
Well, they finally did.
Democrats say Giuliani fear-mongers
Democratic presidential candidates on Wednesday rebuked Republican rival Rudy Giuliani for suggesting that the United States could face another major terrorist attack if a Democrat is elected in 2008.
llinois Sen. Barack Obama said the former New York City mayor, who was in charge on Sept. 11, 2001, should not be making the terrorist threat into “the punchline of another political attack.”
“Rudy Giuliani today has taken the politics of fear to a new low and I believe Americans are ready to reject those kind of politics,” Obama said in a statement.
Former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards said Giuliani knows better than to suggest there is a “superior Republican way to fight terrorism.” Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton didn’t call out her fellow New Yorker by name, but weighed in with a statement posted on her campaign Web site.
Extremely weak sauce responses. In fact, Hillary Clinton does not even address Rudy but instead attacks President Bush.
“There are people right now in the world, not just wishing us harm but actively planning and plotting to cause us harm. If the last six years of the Bush Administration have taught us anything, it’s that political rhetoric won’t do anything to quell those threats. And that America is ready for a change.
“One of the great tragedies of this Administration is that the President failed to keep this country unified after 9/11. We have to protect our country from terrorism — it shouldn’t be a Democratic fight or a Republican fight. The plain truth is that this Administration has done too little to protect our ports, make our mass transit safer, and protect our cities. They have isolated us in the world and have let Al Qaeda regroup. The next President is going to be left with these problems and will have to do what it takes to make us safer and bring Democrats and Republicans together around this common mission of protecting our nation. That is exactly what has to be done and what I am ready to do.”
And Barack Obama’s response was equally weak:
“Rudy Giuliani today has taken the politics of fear to a new low and I believe Americans are ready to reject those kind of politics,” Obama said in a statement. “America’s mayor should know that when it comes to 9-11 and fighting terrorists, America is united. We know we can win this war based on shared purpose, not the same divisive politics that question your patriotism if you dare to question failed policies that have made us less secure.”
And whose failed policies are those?
Bill Clinton’s and his Democrat Administration prior to 9/11, right?
These “SURRENDER MONKEYS” have no plan for the Global War on Terror but only snipe at a tough-going and unpopular war in Iraq to gain political advantage. Withdraw they say. Get out. And then when the Middle East burns and America is attacked again, what will they say?
Wha happened?
Flap asks Americans who would you rather have as President?
The video of Rudy’s speech from New Hampshire is here:
